Profile
She is unpredictable, frequent moodswings. Sometimes she’s nice, and sometimes she’s not.
Her name is Yan Ying. 90% of the world can’t pronounce it properly, simple as it seems. But no one really cares so they just call her YY. She is not fond of people with the same name as her. She turns 14 on 6th September and she loves her birthday cause it is a sex symbol.
She was from Yew Tee Primary and is still proud of her school. She will never forget the class of 6D’07, or the batch of P6’07. She is currently an idiot in Nanyang Girls High and it is a love-hate relationship. She belongs to 202’09 which she, to be honest, doesn’t feel much for.
She is a Theatre Club girl and is more than proud to be one. She especially loves Emo Batch♥, and looks forward to devoting her next 3 years to TCN with much optimism.
She does ballet with more than just passion but she can’t do a center split. She is trying her best and is currently aiming for a far-fetched distinction for Grade6. She loves hiphop just as much though she’s pretty new at it. Her favourite sport is swimming and she occasionally plays basketball as a form of stress-relief. She likes to be tan and loves her swimming tan line. The piano, is yet another love-hate relationship.
Like most teenagers, her hobbies include MSNing, blogging, and youtubing and facebooking. She loves shopping and doing random stuff like gaying people, jumping over railings, walking in the rain, and having completely irregular sleeping hours.
Unlike most teenagers, she thinks that rap music is trash. She also thinks that she is getting old cause she hates the songs the average listens to these days. She can’t explain her love for oldies, country music, ballads, and sentimentals. Nostalgic songs are the best. Her favourite bands are Michael Learns to Rock, The Beatles and Westlife. She loves too many singers to name them all.
“Forevers” are bullshit as of now.
The night speaks to her the way no one else can. Her favourite thing to do is to curl up with a book on a rainy afternoon in her room, where she feels safest in. Her favourite flower is a black rose, but on the contrary, she likes rainbows and hugs too.
She is always torn between two.
But she is determined when she sets her mind on something, so she wants the world to shut up and believe in her. Just watch.

for awhile, and then it'll be over.
Mai Xiang Jing Cai Wei Lai - NYGH choir
This song's stuck in my head cause it's too sweet and nice. Yes, the Nanyang 90th Anniversary theme song which sounds like a National Day song. It's very.. power. More motivational than this year's NDP song in fact. And I just realised that we're so much older than Singapore!
Founder's Day yesterday was unexpectedly fun. Based on Wednesday morning's unenthu-ness I thought today would be another sian day, but it ended off great. The morning in the hall was horrible because we were packed like sardines so there was barely any fresh air. But the video they showed was really touching - sent goosebumps all over, one of the rarer times I genuinely feel proud to be a Nanyang girl. I think it's cool when you see old photos of people from over half a century years ago and know that you share something in common with them, learning once again how Nanyang was born in times of difficulties, etc.
I wasn't really paying any attention to the speeches, more like fooling around with Enning, Cher, JY and Chloe. Enning's eyes are so huge I feel like gorging them out especially when she does this: O.O
The funfair was great, though not as fun as last year's. It only lasted for two hours anyway, not a full scale YDF. Basically I was camping by the ovens 60% of the time and spent the remaining 40% taking pictures since I love photographing events alot. And the ovens, they weren't as scary as I had expected them to be, and it was the first time I learnt to manage an oven independently. Before this I hadn't even dared to take toast broad out of the oven, and home econs was mostly left to Qiuhao.
So for the sticks committee Jiale, Bernie and I stayed behind the snacks stall by the ovens more, while the rest did marketing. Made the best out of my fascination with the ovens and my obsession with estimating how cooked the food is. Jiale and I ate half-cooked nuggets we bought from the first batch, which tasted funny and spoilt my appetite. It was the reason why I didn't steal any seaweed chicken the whole time, which would normally happen whenever I'm under close contact with food.
Sticks food were sold out 15 minutes before 1130, yay, and then we got high by trying to sell the last of the drinks. After it was done, we did the epic selling of free ice water since we had alot of leftover ice. Our voices combined (about 5-6 people) are damn power so alot of people were looking at us, and a few actually came to grab ice water.
That's about it. I'm not good at elaborating on events nowadays so pictures shall do the talking. Spent more than an hour last night tagging people in the 108 pictures on FB, but I'll just post my favourite few here. I think people always look best when they look directly into the camera and smile naturally.

And then there was him. And right then I couldn't be surer about the specific kind of people that I like, specific meaning by age, gender, race, etc. Little (preferably below the age of 10) angmor boys. Like Mark Shone's son.

I feel so stalkerish. :O Shichun beckoned for me to take a front view of him actually, while he was buying a drink from us, but I was too stumped to be able to do anything. Ahh so sad that the next time I'll get to see him will be probably YDF next year, or maybe I won't even get to. I seriously regretted not asking to take a picture with him, so I was damn emo about not having his front view picture.. Until Zhuhong came up to me on MSN. And sent me this:

Oh my goodness I'm still salivating.
The field part after the funfair was damn fun. Cheered like mad with Wanli, couldn't talk properly after that.

Back to class, took class photo, went for CCA. That's about it.

Don't know why, but I'm so glad we did cleanup. Now it looks more like the old M4. (:
/.
Today, did basically nothing productive. Spent so much time on useless shit such as MSN and FB I wonder where my life went to, haha. Dance was kinda awesome - my cousin drove there, Steph Pang was so bimbo and funny. And she was reading a freaking Chinese book (she borrowed 16 at one go) when everyone else thought that she was a "jia kan tang" person. Dinner at Nihon Mura was horrible, eww. Best thing was the hot tea.
Was on the phone with SJ just now for about an hour and realised how long we haven't been talking. Out of all my primary school relationships, it's one of the few I hope will never fade. But at least we'll be going back on August 31st, and hopefully meet up over the September holidays.
