She is unpredictable, frequent moodswings. Sometimes she’s nice, and sometimes she’s not.

Her name is Yan Ying. 90% of the world can’t pronounce it properly, simple as it seems. But no one really cares so they just call her YY. She is not fond of people with the same name as her. She turns 14 on 6th September and she loves her birthday cause it is a sex symbol.

She was from Yew Tee Primary and is still proud of her school. She will never forget the class of 6D’07, or the batch of P6’07. She is currently an idiot in Nanyang Girls High and it is a love-hate relationship. She belongs to 202’09 which she, to be honest, doesn’t feel much for.

She is a Theatre Club girl and is more than proud to be one. She especially loves Emo Batch♥, and looks forward to devoting her next 3 years to TCN with much optimism.

She does ballet with more than just passion but she can’t do a center split. She is trying her best and is currently aiming for a far-fetched distinction for Grade6. She loves hiphop just as much though she’s pretty new at it. Her favourite sport is swimming and she occasionally plays basketball as a form of stress-relief. She likes to be tan and loves her swimming tan line. The piano, is yet another love-hate relationship.

Like most teenagers, her hobbies include MSNing, blogging, and youtubing and facebooking. She loves shopping and doing random stuff like gaying people, jumping over railings, walking in the rain, and having completely irregular sleeping hours.

Unlike most teenagers, she thinks that rap music is trash. She also thinks that she is getting old cause she hates the songs the average listens to these days. She can’t explain her love for oldies, country music, ballads, and sentimentals. Nostalgic songs are the best. Her favourite bands are Michael Learns to Rock, The Beatles and Westlife. She loves too many singers to name them all.

“Forevers” are bullshit as of now.

The night speaks to her the way no one else can. Her favourite thing to do is to curl up with a book on a rainy afternoon in her room, where she feels safest in. Her favourite flower is a black rose, but on the contrary, she likes rainbows and hugs too.

She is always torn between two.

But she is determined when she sets her mind on something, so she wants the world to shut up and believe in her. Just watch.

A "heart shape" on the pavement the route back to school from KAP. I have a tendency to look on the floor whenever I'm walking alone, so I got quite excited seeing this a few weeks ago. You can try spotting it too!

I am ponning class committee training tomorrow! Retarded crap stuff ahaha no I'm not going to waste my time stoning there, even going home to sleep is even more productive I feel.

Anyway I've been rather @#$%^&*( as of late. Yesterday I earned four huge blue blacks on my legs somewhere somehow and today after swimming I shampooed my hair with body foam. So I was shampooing away happily wondering why there's so much more foam on my head than usual, and after washing it off I started to wonder why my hair is so much rougher than usual. Then I turned to look at the shampoo bottle to check out what sucky brand that is and went like. Hooray. Am I dumb or am I dumb?

Oh yes and a theatre junior was like so adorable today! She borrowed my PE shirt cause she forgotten to bring hers for PE lesson, and didn't use it in the end. When I got back from recess I found the shirt and a note on the table saying that she "would feel very bad if you were to wear that later after I have perspired". Plus a Hersheys chocolate somemore! So sweet right hahaha.

Backtracking to Sunday, went to suntec to visit our total defence booth and watch The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (been dying to catch that one) with Amanda and Teresa.

Photobucket

HAHA the two yellow bananas look good.

Anyway the movie was like freaking awesome. The story was beautiful, I love the scenes from the 20th Century, and there's alot of meaningful quotes in there. Loved the parts too when him and his lover finally look the same age, cause from young-old and old-young there's a crossing point somewhere. The ending was really sad so Amanda and Teresa cried pretty badly (hooray i didn't), so their make-up started to run.. I forgot to get a picture of that. xD

You know Brad Pitt was all of the Benjamin Buttons? As in from young to old they just modified him with some digital stuff. Well I didn't, so I got pretty excited when these came on:

"ZOMG WHO'S THAT I'M GONNA GOOGLE HIM UP AFTERWARDS."
"That's Brad Pitt."

Damn. Even this is Brad Pitt:

Somehow, I always seem to confuse Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise together and now there's the Curious Case as well as Valkyrie, what a coincidence. Valkyrie on Sunday, anyone?

"It's a funny thing about comin' home. Looks the same, smells the same, feels the same. You'll realize what's changed is you."

"And in the spring, 2003, he looked at me. And I knew, that he knew, who I was. And then he closed his eyes, as if to go to sleep."

"Some people, were born to sit by a river. Some get struck by lightning. Some have an ear for music. Some are artists. Some swim the English Channel. Some know buttons. Some know Shakespeare. Some are mothers. And some people, dance."

I have a favourite scene too, with a long monologue kind of thing relating and showing a series of incidents leading to Daisy's accident. I don't think you're going to read what I'm pasting down, but oh well, I like the way it was done, never seen it like that before. It's exactly what I always ask myself - would this have happened if something earlier before had happened differently?

"Sometimes we're on a collision course, and we just don't know it. Whether it's by accident or by design, there's not a thing we can do about it. A woman in Paris was on her way to go shopping, but she had forgotten her coat - went back to get it. When she had gotten her coat, the phone had rung, so she'd stopped to answer it; talked for a couple of minutes. While the woman was on the phone, Daisy was rehearsing for a performance at the Paris Opera House. And while she was rehearsing, the woman, off the phone now, had gone outside to get a taxi. Now a taxi driver had dropped off a fare earlier and had stopped to get a cup of coffee.
And all the while, Daisy was rehearsing. And this cab driver, who dropped off the earlier fare; who'd stopped to get the cup of coffee, had picked up the lady who was going to shopping, and had missed getting an earlier cab. The taxi had to stop for a man crossing the street, who had left for work five minutes later than he normally did, because he forgot to set off his alarm. While that man, late for work, was crossing the street, Daisy had finished rehearsing, and was taking a shower. And while Daisy was showering, the taxi was waiting outside a boutique for the woman to pick up a package, which hadn't been wrapped yet, because the girl who was supposed to wrap it had broken up with her boyfriend the night before, and forgot.

When the package was wrapped, the woman, who was back in the cab, was blocked by a delivery truck, all the while Daisy was getting dressed. The delivery truck pulled away and the taxi was able to move, while Daisy, the last to be dressed, waited for one of her friends, who had broken a shoelace. While the taxi was stopped, waiting for a traffic light, Daisy and her friend came out the back of the theater.

And if only one thing had happened differently: if that shoelace hadn't broken; or that delivery truck had moved moments earlier; or that package had been wrapped and ready, because the girl hadn't broken up with her boyfriend; or that man had set his alarm and got up five minutes earlier; or that taxi driver hadn't stopped for a cup of coffee; or that woman had remembered her coat, and got into an earlier cab, Daisy and her friend would've crossed the street, and the taxi would've driven by.
But life being what it is - a series of intersecting lives and incidents, out of anyone's control - that taxi did not go by, and that driver was momentarily distracted, and that taxi hit Daisy, and her leg was crushed."

Mmhmm. Another movie I've watched this week is Four Feathers (2002) which starred Heath Ledger and Kate Hudson. I thought it would be very boring cause I was watching it for History SIA (colonialism stuff) but unexpectedly it turned out to be quite interesting and action-packed. Working on either this or Passage to India with WanLi and Cheryl this Saturday.

As for last Saturday, V-day, I spent my day with my date by the name of Homework. Joy to the world! My brother bought flowers for me though - totally sweet of him - and my dad bought flowers for my mum for the first time in don't know how many Valentines. So before he gave her the flowers she was like complaining about how my dad doesn't know how to be romantic, how she saw so many guys buying flowers everywhere, etc.etc.etc, well you know how women can be.

And my dad said, "好啦,等一下我路边的草拔几支给你。”
And my mum stomped off into shower. Then when she was drying her hair:

Lol but my dad pretty much pissed her off afterwards going on and on about how expensive the bouquet of rose is.

My mum's and mine. (:

And lastly, I was blog surfing a few days ago and heard this familiar song on one of the blogs. So it came quite as a surprise cause I didn't really expect to hear such an old song as a blog song, and a sentimental one at that. Nevertheless, it's such a beautiful song I can't get enough of it.
& Peabo Bryson, he sang "Beauty & the Beast", "A Whole New World", and "If Ever You're in my Arms Again" too.

Tonight I Celebrate My Love - Peabo Bryson & Roberta Flack

Tonight I celebrate my love for you
It seems the natural thing to do
Tonight no one's gonna find us
We'll leave the world behind us
When I make love to you
Tonight I celebrate my love for you
And hope that deep inside you feel it too
Tonight our spirits will be climbing
To the sky lit up with diamonds
When I make love to you tonight

Tonight I celebrate my love for you (ooh)
And that midnight song is gonna come shining through
Tonight there'll be no distance between us
What I want most to do
Is to get close to you tonight

Tonight I celebrate my love for you
And soon this old world will seem brand new
Tonight we will both discover
How friends turn into lovers
When I make love to you

Tonight I celebrate my love for you (ooh)
And that midnight song is gonna come shining through
Tonight there'll be no distance between us
What I want most to do
Is to get close to you

Tonight I celebrate my love for you
