She is unpredictable, frequent moodswings. Sometimes she’s nice, and sometimes she’s not. Her name is Yan Ying. 90% of the world can’t pronounce it properly, simple as it seems. But no one really cares so they just call her YY. She is not fond of people with the same name as her. She turns 14 on 6th September and she loves her birthday cause it is a sex symbol. She was from Yew Tee Primary and is still proud of her school. She will never forget the class of 6D’07, or the batch of P6’07. She is currently an idiot in Nanyang Girls High and it is a love-hate relationship. She belongs to 202’09 which she, to be honest, doesn’t feel much for. She is a Theatre Club girl and is more than proud to be one. She especially loves Emo Batch♥, and looks forward to devoting her next 3 years to TCN with much optimism. She does ballet with more than just passion but she can’t do a center split. She is trying her best and is currently aiming for a far-fetched distinction for Grade6. She loves hiphop just as much though she’s pretty new at it. Her favourite sport is swimming and she occasionally plays basketball as a form of stress-relief. She likes to be tan and loves her swimming tan line. The piano, is yet another love-hate relationship. Like most teenagers, her hobbies include MSNing, blogging, and youtubing and facebooking. She loves shopping and doing random stuff like gaying people, jumping over railings, walking in the rain, and having completely irregular sleeping hours. Unlike most teenagers, she thinks that rap music is trash. She also thinks that she is getting old cause she hates the songs the average listens to these days. She can’t explain her love for oldies, country music, ballads, and sentimentals. Nostalgic songs are the best. Her favourite bands are Michael Learns to Rock, The Beatles and Westlife. She loves too many singers to name them all. “Forevers” are bullshit as of now. The night speaks to her the way no one else can. Her favourite thing to do is to curl up with a book on a rainy afternoon in her room, where she feels safest in. Her favourite flower is a black rose, but on the contrary, she likes rainbows and hugs too. She is always torn between two. But she is determined when she sets her mind on something, so she wants the world to shut up and believe in her. Just watch.Tag

someone tells the truth, someone lies.
I spent five hours in the library today, finishing "Master of the Game" and browsing through books. Sometimes it's good to spend time alone and let the words take you away.![]() "Master of the Game" - determination, intelligence, business brilliance, betrayal, pride, power, wealth, sex, rage, vengeance. It's a story of perversed people "spawned by naked ambition", ruthless and tenacious 女强人s who would do anything to get what they want.. And I mean anything. Which is why I especially liked this book, and how the author painted such a strong and powerful figure of this woman, Kate Blackwell. Never read a book which spans through five generations and it turned out to be really awesome, a page-turner. The story starts and ends with the protagonist's ninetieth birthday and ends with it as well, and never at one point does it get draggy. Imagine having the capability to do anything, being able to manipulate people, having the world under your thumb. "There was a fire burning in Eve that was so fierce she could not put it out. It was not sex alone: that was only a small part of it. It was a rage to live, a need to do everything, be everything. Life was a lover, and Eve was desperate to possess it with all she had in her. She was jealous of everyone. She went to the ballet and was jealous of the ballerina because she herself was not up there dancing and winning the cheers of the audience. She wanted to be a scientist, a singer, a surgeon, a pilot, an actress. She wanted to do everything, and do it better than anyone else had ever done it. She wanted it all, and she could not wait." It was shocking to see their determination, dashing other's hopes for theirs, using people as pawns, framing people without a hint of remorse, going to the extent of murder, having their whole life circulating around money and more importantly, power. The characterization is awesome especially of Kate Blackwell, and even her granddaughter Eve. I don't know how to put it but although it wasn't as unexpected as I've thought it to be, it is undoubtly one of the most unique books I've ever read. Recommendable, fast-paced, breathtaking and somewhat inspiring.. I might even read it again. And I was looking for a true heartbreaker today because I haven't read a good one in awhile, so I decided on Nicholas Spark's "Dear John". ![]() "Dear John," the letter read. And with those two words, a heart was broken and two lives changed forever. Wehn Savannah Lynn Curtis comes into his life, John Tyree knows he is ready to turn over a new leaf. An angry rebel, he had enlisted in the army after high school, not knowing what else to do. Then, during a furlough, he meets Savannah, the girl of his dreams. The attraction is mutual and quickly grows into the kind of love that leaves Savannah vowing to wait for John while he finishes his tour of duty. But neither can forsee that 9/11 is about to change the world. Like so many proud men and women, John must choose between love and country. Now, when he finally returns to North Carolina, John will discover that loving Savannah will force him to make the hardest decision of his life. Seems to be a potential. I couldn't find the "The Notebook" today, and I'm dying to read it. "If. A two-letter word for futility." - Master of the Game. - |
