Her name is Yan Ying. 90% of the world can’t pronounce it properly, simple as it seems. But no one really cares so they just call her YY. She is not fond of people with the same name as her. She turns 14 on 6th September and she loves her birthday cause it is a sex symbol. She was from Yew Tee Primary and is still proud of her school. She will never forget the class of 6D’07, or the batch of P6’07. She is currently an idiot in Nanyang Girls High and it is a love-hate relationship. She belongs to 202’09 which she, to be honest, doesn’t feel much for. She is a Theatre Club girl and is more than proud to be one. She especially loves Emo Batch♥, and looks forward to devoting her next 3 years to TCN with much optimism. She does ballet with more than just passion but she can’t do a center split. She is trying her best and is currently aiming for a far-fetched distinction for Grade6. She loves hiphop just as much though she’s pretty new at it. Her favourite sport is swimming and she occasionally plays basketball as a form of stress-relief. She likes to be tan and loves her swimming tan line. The piano, is yet another love-hate relationship. Like most teenagers, her hobbies include MSNing, blogging, and youtubing and facebooking. She loves shopping and doing random stuff like gaying people, jumping over railings, walking in the rain, and having completely irregular sleeping hours. Unlike most teenagers, she thinks that rap music is trash. She also thinks that she is getting old cause she hates the songs the average listens to these days. She can’t explain her love for oldies, country music, ballads, and sentimentals. Nostalgic songs are the best. Her favourite bands are Michael Learns to Rock, The Beatles and Westlife. She loves too many singers to name them all. “Forevers” are bullshit as of now. The night speaks to her the way no one else can. Her favourite thing to do is to curl up with a book on a rainy afternoon in her room, where she feels safest in. Her favourite flower is a black rose, but on the contrary, she likes rainbows and hugs too. She is always torn between two. Lol okay I shall blog about yesterday's Youth Day Funfair '08!
Firstly,
CONGRATULATIONS TO 102 ♥ FOR WINNING THE MOST RAISED FUNDS FOR SEC 1s! (And twos infact! xD)
AND WE SOLD EVERYTHING OUT. EVERYTHING SINGLE BLEDDDY THING!! AND WE RAISED A BLEDDY FRIGGING $523!!!
AND WE ALSO WON THE PUNCTUALITY AWARD FOR TERM 2! ♥
Like everyone else, I feel so proud of our 102! ♥ I think the above, as well as winning other major events such as the Sec 1 Lifeskills' Camp Talent Night and Sports Meet '08, is very much attributed to our unity and commitment. 102 has been very devoted and cooperative all these while, and thinking that half a year has already flown by really makes me fear the end. D:
Jiayou 102! We'll relish in our victories but we won't be complacent. Afterall the saying goes - A pride comes before a fall. xD
I think that the YDF has also improved some of the relations between us - I could actually get along very well with the people I was bushuang with (yes I mean the roll-eyes girl etc). And it pretty much shows everyone who are the slackers who we weren't very pleased with. Basically it's just those 4 girls which is pretty obvious to everyone.
I don't like badmouthing people, but I shall just say that they are a bunch of childish, immature and selfish girls who live in their own world and care about nothing but their self gain and happiness. Through the YDF and recent projects, alot of people got even more bushuang with them. At our busiest moment they were still fooling around like some freaktards. It really got on our nerves I can tell you.

Lol ok yay. I think the people who stayed back during recess/lunch or came early in the morning yesterday to help really rocks!
And I also think that 102 must be hell imba cause we managed so well even when Wanli and Mrs Amy/our monitress and form teacher weren't there that day for shooting competition, Jiale/our tidbits IC wasn't there too for swimming competition, and Klara and Jiaying couldn't make it too for some track stuff. Shows that our class is hell independent. xD
Hahaa so ummm. I shall not post pictures today, probably after next Friday's PCCG lesson when everyone else has seen the pictures already, and besides I haven't gotten hold of Ellen's pictures yet.
YDF was pretty fun, tiring too. My throat was left sore the entire day (though I still had chocolates!) so you can imagine how hard and competitive the sales were!
The day before YDF was perhaps one of the busiest days of my life (the night was slack though). My entire left hand was adorned with permanent markers, full on the palm and full on the back of my hand. Writing stuff on my hand to me is like the easiest way to refer to the important things I have to do on that day.
There were alot of things to be finalised and everyone (basically all the in-charges and reps) were getting to be very anxious and on the verge of breaking down. Everyone was pissed, everyone was stressed up. And the fact that bleddy SMART language arts teachers set the deadline for our final patchwork of SIA II to be that day just made things alot better - NOT.
At least Mrs Amy was smart enough to ask, "Why are you people having uneasy looks on your faces?"
And then again, she's not smart cause she should have known. ._.
For the first time I saw Wanli being irritated and stressed up instead of her usual smiley self. When Mrs Amy walked in announcing that we were gonna have a geog assignment, my entire class literally groaned and started cursing and swearing, and Wanli shot me that effin pissed look. Then I got shocked and screamed, "LOOK AT WANLI'S FACE!"
Thus I helped her do simple stuff like submitting the CO order form or I think she's gonna get burnt out. And she was like super stressed too cause her SIA II is screwed up as she does not have any idea how to cut 300 words (and I did it for her xD).
And on the Ellen side, we were freaking out about whether we should get the pan for heating cheese, and guess what we did? We resorted to smsing MR TIONG to ask him (not my idea, I forgot whose). Well not directly, we just asked him to choose 1 or 2 and he really smsed back! When he did Shichun was like squealing in excitement and there goes her day of Tionging non-stop!
Mr Tiong choosed 1 which we planned to be don't heat up. So we pretty much decided on that, until that night when Sandra called me to ask if she should bring some uhhhh I-dunno-whats-that cause apparently nobody likes to eat cold cheese. Yup so I told her we could give it a try and it really worked the next morning. ^^
The worst part and most tou tong part was the ice. It was bleddy worrying can, damn scared nobody bring tomorrow. And I'll tell you how it ended up later. xD
After school I chionged to hand up the CO order form first, and then waited for WL to hand up her SIA, then went with her, JY and Bernie to Coronation to get more tidbits and plastic plates (even though we still ran out cause Nachos was such a hit!!). After they went home I went back to school to stamp the posters around the school. Yep Bernie did help in the decorations of the posters abit, so thanks alot!
Saw Cheryl at her band prac and she told me to paste some in the toilets. At first I dismissed it as being ridiculous but then when I thought twice it seemed like a super good idea cause alot of people will go toilet what!! CHERYL ROCKS! :D
Hahaha initial plan was to go cut hair (I'm going for shoulder length!) after school but when everything was settled it was already like 5.30. And my handphone was totally screwed and blanked out so I didn't have much of a choice but to go home.
At night I mass SMS the class to ask if anyone would like to come at 645 the next day to package the rest of the tidbits. I was quite happy when alot of people replied to say that they will be coming early tomorrow, and indeed like half the class arrived before 7 the next day.
Zui ba had to be damn tian while giving instructions cause you don't want to sound bossy and have people get pissed at you.

And yay yueling fed me a marshmallow saying, "Yanying you deserve it!" :D
By about 7.10 all the tidbits were already packaged and we were set, but we just idled around in the classroom until flag raising, then went up, then got the things down to the canteen and started to prepare. It was during that part when I took the most pictures hahaha.
While preparing a few of us walk around to advertise but it was pretty fail hahaha. And we were feeling very shocked and zibei when there were people distributing flyers etc. We shall do that too + our imba marketing skills next year sure own like siao. xD
Okay uhh the entire thing was pretty havoc-ish. No one really went according to their assigned duties; things just went according to how much we were committed to it. Slackers just went off and slack as much as they could, and workaholics practically worked the whole way through with much enjoyment. At the last part I slacked off with Shichun and Ellen for about an hour. ;DD
I mainly spent the time marketing. Was quite hopeless for like the first hour, but then I saw Ling An and I had this really desperate look on my face. She said she already sold many packets of tidbits and she told me to follow her and she showed me how.
Firstly she had damn good PR and has a damn wide social circle.
Secondly her marketing skills are PWNAGE. Her kou cai is shit good I was gaping in awe!
"Hi dyou want to buy our tidbits? I know you like one, it's really VERY good, not salty one! You see ah, even if you cannot spend finish your coupons you also cannot exchange back to cash right? So you might as well just buy the tidbits from us, and by doing this you are also doing your part for charity! We have no self gain by selling all these you know? And it's only $1, outside they sell $1+ alala~~"
And she can talk like non stop until the person buys it. Usually she targets at the primary school people cause they are the more willing to give in ones. Well so I koped a few golden lines from her and went to try it out myself - IT WORKED LIKE DAMN GOOD?!
Actually like practically all of them also don't want to buy at first, but I was being really persistent and after like a minute of persuading they gave in and I got my $1! Sometimes it takes abit of challenge to feel satisfaction, so everytime I get the coupons it gives the really accomplished feeling.
Yup so the marketing thing went damn well thanks to Ling An. I marketed for damn long and in the end I realized that I never stood rooted behind the tables at our stall. ._.
Mm so as I said, I slacked the last hour off with Shichun and Ellen. I bought food (macaroni+mushroomsoup, damn nice) from our 202 seniors' stall and lychee drinks from ally class 101! Then we went to get hairspray! Ellen and I took purple and red while Shichun chose red. Then we went toilet to zilian! ;DDD
Hias, damn sad zilian queen TAN JIA YING not with us!! D:
Yup then we went back to our stall and everyone tried selling the last of stocks. Nachos was long sold out and that part of the table was already cleared. Left around 10+ more packets of chips and LOTS of F&N. Ling An and I took the chips out for marketing again while the rest managed with the F&Ns. Chips were soon cleared and all that was left were the F&Ns which was lowered from $1 to 2 for $1 when initially it was 1 for $2!
Yup the F&N part was really despo. I think we were the only class who kept shouting "F&N 2 FOR $1!"
Damn cheap mah, so very fast all that was left were empty bottles. ;D
Around an hour later.
Stocks, all cleared.
Coupons filled the entire tissue box to the brim.
Everyone started screaming and high-fiving each other, and there was alot of din at our part of the canteen everyone started staring at us. xD
Ling An counted the money while everyone crowded around her, our eyes all wide with amazement. I called Mrs Amy to inform her and Wanli. Can you believe Mrs Amy didn't believe we would clear all the stocks? She didn't say it blatantly, but with inference from "if you class can sell everything ah, then waaaa your class must be veryyy good already!". Honestly, imagine her sarcasm.
When Ling An announced "$514!", everyone went hyper again and started cheering like some retards. xD Which attracted again, stares. xD
Hmm we really went crazy. Believe it or not, THERE WERE EXTRA ICE-CUBES, and we started playing the ice-fight. We were like trying to stuff ice down each others' shirts and pouring water over each other until our shirts became like. TRANSLUCENT. It was hell load of fun and we screamed till we had no voice hahaha.
Yep then there was a break lalala and we had to proceed to the hall for the prize presentations. AND YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENED! =P
We were like so shocked when they said ONETWO. Yahh we did cheer like mad (my reaction time was the fastest okay! By 0.5s!) but after that we started giving each other blank looks and Shichun even drew out a question mark in the air. HAHHAHAHA.
After school there was Theatre! ♥ It went quite alright I suppose, really can't wait for the 2nd instalment of Scarlet '08 as well as the crewing for Chinese Orchestra! There'll be so much more to learn and discover. =P
I had piano lessons after Theatre but it was pretty useless anyway, considering the fact that I was so tired and worn out my mind wasn't in it at all. =X

Today was pretty fun, went for Gefang it the morning. I did Teardrops on my Guitar by Taylor Swift, think it went rather okay. I realized today that I'm someone who is very critical. ._. Which is a damn bad thing okay. Fortunately I can accept critiques. xD
One of the Sec 4 exco members, Waiyee, did Tim Mcgraw by Taylor Swift. For the past few days we've been exchanging songs over MSN (esp Taylor Swift's), and even though she seems to be really strict in person she is really damn nice one!
I'm starting to fall in love with a new genre of music recently - country music. They seem so lighthearted and fresh, pretty much what I want myself to be. But no I won't forget my sentimentals too. (:
So anyway today I really heard the lyrics for Tim Mcgraw and it was really damned good. Over MSN we shared alot and Waiyee also said that lyrics is a very important part of a song, and usually she likes a song because of its lyrics. For me it's kinda the opposite since melody is the easier one to catch. =X
However today I understood her already. I shall listen out for lyrics from today onwards. ;DD
Guitar-ed with Waiyee and 3 other girls after lesson. I managed pretty well since I had the basic foundation, fortunately. Except that I couldn't remember other chords except for the basics like C, G, G7, F, Am, and Dm. T.T
After that I went for my lesson! Yay.
Then I went home to sleep for 4 hours straight! ♥♥♥
