Her name is Yan Ying. 90% of the world can’t pronounce it properly, simple as it seems. But no one really cares so they just call her YY. She is not fond of people with the same name as her. She turns 14 on 6th September and she loves her birthday cause it is a sex symbol. She was from Yew Tee Primary and is still proud of her school. She will never forget the class of 6D’07, or the batch of P6’07. She is currently an idiot in Nanyang Girls High and it is a love-hate relationship. She belongs to 202’09 which she, to be honest, doesn’t feel much for. She is a Theatre Club girl and is more than proud to be one. She especially loves Emo Batch♥, and looks forward to devoting her next 3 years to TCN with much optimism. She does ballet with more than just passion but she can’t do a center split. She is trying her best and is currently aiming for a far-fetched distinction for Grade6. She loves hiphop just as much though she’s pretty new at it. Her favourite sport is swimming and she occasionally plays basketball as a form of stress-relief. She likes to be tan and loves her swimming tan line. The piano, is yet another love-hate relationship. Like most teenagers, her hobbies include MSNing, blogging, and youtubing and facebooking. She loves shopping and doing random stuff like gaying people, jumping over railings, walking in the rain, and having completely irregular sleeping hours. Unlike most teenagers, she thinks that rap music is trash. She also thinks that she is getting old cause she hates the songs the average listens to these days. She can’t explain her love for oldies, country music, ballads, and sentimentals. Nostalgic songs are the best. Her favourite bands are Michael Learns to Rock, The Beatles and Westlife. She loves too many singers to name them all. “Forevers” are bullshit as of now. The night speaks to her the way no one else can. Her favourite thing to do is to curl up with a book on a rainy afternoon in her room, where she feels safest in. Her favourite flower is a black rose, but on the contrary, she likes rainbows and hugs too. She is always torn between two. Okay haha. Completed "A Place Called Here" by Cecelia Ahern two nights ago. Don't really have much to say about it.
Overall it was a pretty fun book which kept my imaginations running wild. Has a touch of contemporary fairytale in it and thus it was quite exciting to take a break from the realistic world once in a while. I like the idea of having a world where all missing things on earth go. I mean like I said, Cecelia Ahern's ideas are always very original and creative, and this book was another ideal example of it. Someday I'd like to go visit that world for awhile - it seems really nice and happy!
This book also has one or two pretty philosophical parts where I found it rather difficult to understand. As in how she bring the word "lost" a step higher than what it means literally.
The introduction and beginning of the book did not make me very drawn to it. I don't know, but I think that I probably prefer books that are written in third person narrative. The conclusion, though, was beautiful.
Definitely another page-turner this book, but it wasn't as 手不释卷 as Nineteen Minutes. I don't know why I keep comparing everything to Nineteen Minutes, but honestly it's one of the best books I've came across and I still miss the characters. Especially Peter Houghton the guy who killed the people. From the outside it looks like he's a cold-blooded murderer but you never know, not until you read the full story. I miss Peter Houghton badly and I really, really sympathize.
Okay I'm digressing!
Yah back to this book. I really like the slight element of magic and surprise, finally, finally a book that reminded me of my childhood fairytales. I have no idea why but whenever I see the word "fairytale" I get very high and excited.
I totally love the storyline. It definitely made me smile, think and wonder. A completely unique and wonderfully written book.

I mean what I said laaa. Cause this tutor is very idontknowwhattosay-ish IMBA, wahh, can make me don't sleep at 10.30 in the morning and ENJOY somemore.
He's probably the cause of my A* for Chinese last year. The fact that he didn't tutor me at all this year until today is seriously very regretting. Fortunately he'll be taking me after the June holidays as well. x)
He's really very good lor I don't know where to find Chinese tutors like him. I bet 99% of the Chinese tutors in the world make me fall asleep.
The most memorable thing I had to do was memorize 15 zuo wens within what. 2-3 months last year. And apparently I memorized all of them until I sleep also can recite. Hahahahahaha it was damn fun okay. x)

Oh yah and I remembered seeing his A Levels cert last year and thinking that he looked like Peng kia. And that was like around 50 years ago LOL.

My best friend for 6 years.
The touch of the piano still felt familiar. It was quite nostalgic to be playing again, the same piano keys I played when I was six to eleven years old.
However this time of course I was more careful and gentle with the piano. Somehow it felt really fragile and breakable this time round, probably cause I haven't touched it for so long.
The first time I laid my eyes on this piano was when I was 5+. I was still living in 545, my first home, and I can remember that I was really fascinated and excited about the prospect of owning a PIANO! Seeing that my older cousins had it too made me really envious and thus I had a longing for it as well.
And then when I was 6 we moved to Palm Gardens and the piano was placed in my room! Fantastic. x)
I can't believe I'm seeing it again. After those six years of stepping into my old room without giving a single glance to the piano (but somehow it's placed somewhere unavoidable lol). I really really miss this piano, pretty little thing. ):
New best friend, most probably going to accompany me for the rest of my life. Hahahahaa at least until I go to University or get married and move away. ._.
