Her name is Yan Ying. 90% of the world can’t pronounce it properly, simple as it seems. But no one really cares so they just call her YY. She is not fond of people with the same name as her. She turns 14 on 6th September and she loves her birthday cause it is a sex symbol. She was from Yew Tee Primary and is still proud of her school. She will never forget the class of 6D’07, or the batch of P6’07. She is currently an idiot in Nanyang Girls High and it is a love-hate relationship. She belongs to 202’09 which she, to be honest, doesn’t feel much for. She is a Theatre Club girl and is more than proud to be one. She especially loves Emo Batch♥, and looks forward to devoting her next 3 years to TCN with much optimism. She does ballet with more than just passion but she can’t do a center split. She is trying her best and is currently aiming for a far-fetched distinction for Grade6. She loves hiphop just as much though she’s pretty new at it. Her favourite sport is swimming and she occasionally plays basketball as a form of stress-relief. She likes to be tan and loves her swimming tan line. The piano, is yet another love-hate relationship. Like most teenagers, her hobbies include MSNing, blogging, and youtubing and facebooking. She loves shopping and doing random stuff like gaying people, jumping over railings, walking in the rain, and having completely irregular sleeping hours. Unlike most teenagers, she thinks that rap music is trash. She also thinks that she is getting old cause she hates the songs the average listens to these days. She can’t explain her love for oldies, country music, ballads, and sentimentals. Nostalgic songs are the best. Her favourite bands are Michael Learns to Rock, The Beatles and Westlife. She loves too many singers to name them all. “Forevers” are bullshit as of now. The night speaks to her the way no one else can. Her favourite thing to do is to curl up with a book on a rainy afternoon in her room, where she feels safest in. Her favourite flower is a black rose, but on the contrary, she likes rainbows and hugs too. She is always torn between two. Nanyang registration day!!
Yay two days ago (considering it's already morning now) was the NANYANG REGISTRATION DAY!My 7th time in the school actually. =)
Morning, woke up at 7, slack in bed until 7.15. Brush teeth, wash face, change Yew Tee uniform (after this it's going to be gone for good), tie hair - with the fringe ><...Then went down for breakfast.
When I was done I had to keep shouting "DADDY!" coz my father was really lag. My mum was already outside reading the newspaper, waiting for us. Well he finally came, after my persistent calling.
And then I realised I forgotten my handphone and he was like mocking me. -.-
After getting my handphone we set off. (:
For Nanyang, Nanyang Girls High.
My dream school. My future school. Yay.
Well on the car I already received two smses from my two favourite Nanyang seniors, Yunxin and Jasmine (sec 3), asking where I was. Sadly to say I didn't get to see Jasmine around NY although she was helping out.
Daddy went to park at the boarding school cos NYGH was full. He let mummy and I alight first, and when we entered the school (infront of the Siew May Auditorium there), a Nanyang girl came to approach us to give us directions.
Coincidentally I also saw Mark and his sister (although I know they were both gonna be here) coming at that time. Haha. Hope to get to know his sister better, she seems like a really nice girl.
Then went up to the hall for briefing and everything. Found out I was in Group 8 so I sat accordingly, while my mum went to the back where seats are reserved for parents.
I started speaking randomly to the girl sitting beside me. Well that's what Freshmen do. (:
She's from Concord and her name is Junhui. I don't know why she looks so familiar to me cause I obviously don't know her. She's very nice too and she intends to take up badminton as her CCA next year.
As the principal, Ms Yap, gave her speech, there was really this pride swelling inside me. I felt that, after all, my efforts have paid off and eventually I found my way to this school. Heck care what people say.
Firstly I have to make it clear that I know it's not perfect - No school is. However love is blind... I love it means I do. (: And obviously I know that not ALL nanyang girls are nice angels.
Although they package themselves damn well cause they seem to be.
Well there was a briefing.. I didn't take up any special programmes cause I think French will do just great. I don't like heavy workloads as well, and I don't really fit into the criterias of the special programme I think.
After briefing registration... I was so high until I was saying "Good morning!" with a bigbig smile to that person. Haha that person kept smiling back too. (:
During the briefing I saw yunxin at the AEP booth. Too bad she didn't see me!!! >< Then went to *pokepoke* her after the registration.. Of course not while she was talking to a parent la.
Then called my parents and found out they were already downstairs queueing for books (which I flipped through abit, JUST ABIT, cause they scared the crap out of me). However people say sec 1 is easy?
I beg to differ.
I was damndamndamn happy to see Joy downstairs! I mean she's like my next best friend after Siew Boon!!
Cause there's no jealousy (which has always been destroying my friendships) occuring in Joy. She's like very contented with everything de. That's why she's so cheerful and that's why she always lifts my mood. =D
We were like hugging each other there and "HONEY I LOVE YOU!!!"

Once we talked about our similarities and we found out there is alot. And by that I mean ALOT. Lol she can be my sister. Ahaha~ (sayuri).
Too bad she's taking Jap as her third language. =( Cos she loves anime. ^^

Ok the queue for measuring was damn long. ZZZ.
Measured that my top was M and skirt was L. Lol so big ><.
The PE shirt and PE pants and jacket all M lah.
My parents kept saying FAT, FAT AND FAT. And I was feeling veryvery pissed off.
But nevermind, the whole time I said so many times "NANYANG!" and "I look damn good in this uniform" (self-praise ROFL so haolian) which pissed THEM off.
After purchasing the items, we went to toilet to try (which was my favourite part of the day).
First time stepping into NY uniform was totally idonthavetosayit. I was really smiling the entire time and it felt really 'fei bi mo suo neng xing rong'...I really spent like a minute thinking for a word. Or simply cos my vocab sux haha. According to OBQ (which my bro keep pronouncing as Old Barbeque).
I mean, you've been at the CRAZIEST STAGE OF CRAZY over this school and you put alot ALOT of effort into mugging and then you REALLY got into this school and then you are stepping into the UNIFORM for the first time...
Ahh there had been so many first times...
First time HEARING about the school had been 7 years ago. Let's rewind to year 2000 shall we.
My cousin Jia Tian was the first among us cousins to take the PSLE, and indeed she didn't disappoint us as she secured a place in Nanyang.
I can't really remember much about everything, being only just 5 years old. However I can remember that everyone had been rather hyper about it.
And my grandfather (who's been driving me to and fro from school since 4 years old) had been telling me about "Jia Tian Jie Jie du NANYANG~!!".
And being only five, all I knew was that the school was a prestigious school and I didn't give any thought to it, didn't really care either. Well, I didn't know MY turn for PSLE would come, and it came soon enough. (:
Anyway my cousin's doing well in Beijing University now (with scholarship I wanna stress cause I'm really proud of her XD) and she's enjoying herself, although she says it's very stressful.
She has always been the pride of our family. (:
Second first time...Seeing the Nanyang uniform.
I forgotten when, but I had seen my cousin in it before, when I was really young too. Had been "wahh..." and thinking "why so white one -__-". BUT STILL VERY BEAUTIFUL OK!!!
The next first time was... Saying "I want to go to Nanyang" with actual desire...And with a little dread as well cause it definitely means piaing, PIAING, and more PIAING!!!
That had been 1 January 2007.
We were at San Yi's house welcoming the New Year and I remembered that champagne had tasted really good.
San Yi, Da Yi, mummy, Yichun and I were sitting around on the floor discussing... ME!
Lol yeah..Me..
Anyway my San Yi had been saying RGS is more suitable for me cause I'm more "eat potato" and blahblahblah. Zzz nanyang also got alot "eat potato" one ok.
I didn't >< her cause I hadn't disliked RGS that much yet.
Seems as though the harder my desire burnt for NY the more I dislike RGS.
Gahh I hope to err be more friendly associated with RGS people and I hope that's possible... Well I mean the principal changed anyway. Hope it's for the better.
However my Da Yi, mummy, and Yi Chun had been saying "NANYANG BETTER, GO NANYANG!"
Majority wins. LOL.
Ok that's not really the reason I'm desperate anyway.
But I'm sure 'Cousin Influence' has something to do with it.
Today my mum said there was a period of time I wanted to go RG. O.O
Eh?
Either I had been TOTALLY BRAINWASHED or she's talking crap.
Fourth first time...Seeing the school.
I was on the way to Chiropractic (some form of spine treatment which didn't really help -.-) and my mum took a detour just so I could see that brick building.
Well I had been impressed of course. It's absolutely beautiful.
And I was "wah...wah...wah..." to my mum.
Fifth first time...
Setting foot on campus ground.
IT Quiz briefing.. I was with Miss Ler and 7 other ytps girls.

OMG GUESS WHAT?! For the first time in my life I stepped into NANYANG GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL. My life. I know it's like totally ohhhhhh emmmmmmm geeeeee I can't believe it!!!!!!!! OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG. I totally freaked out can. Imagine yourself stepping into Cambridge, yah.

I'm so happy I can't control my feelings, that's why I let out a scream in the bus when I saw the school.
For the next 15 minutes or so I stood gaping at the school with my mouth hung wide open like a retard. I looked stupid, and whenever I tried to close my mouth it falls back open again. I seriously could not calm down, but other than gaping at the school I didn't do anything embarrassing. I mean, I didn't scream IN THE SCHOOL or whatever. My heart was just pumping with excitement. I felt like fainting (this one not joking).

I'm still crazy enough to keep the water (it's on my shelf now) Nanyang supplied on that day.
Bet you that shelf would be cleared in a few months time.
People take things for granted.
And besides I'll get to learn NY's bad points personally. ):
Sixth first time... Taking a test in NYGH...
Was the DSA.
Err it had been... Scaryscary. >< Like PSLE. Cos it meant to me as much?
And halfway through the Chinese paper I was like mentally "Ahh fine I don't give a **** anymore so there." and then I slammed the pen on my table which actually resulted in head-turnings... But 5 seconds later I picked it up again and started to write in, as usual, kindergarten Chinese.
DSA had been as miraculous as PSLE.
Ok there had been many other first times too, but those had been the most memorable ones.
Back to topic. Hmm..
My mum was beaming when I stepped out of the cubicle anyway. (: Junhui's mother was also smiling at me (though she doesn't know that her daughter and I are friends yet).
Anyway I was rather surprised to see Junhui's mother (I recognized her as she came to her daughter just now) and I was like saying that's my new friend's mother!! Junhui's mother!!
And then my mum and her mum got along very well together haha.
She even lent us the L jacket to try on and me and my mum spent ALOT OF TIME deliberating over M or L, M or L... Finally decided on M cos L was out of stock... And besides M shows more figure. AHAHA~!
Then changed into PE..
Fitted me just perfectly too.
However the short is REALLY VERY SHORT... (Everyone commented the same thing ><)
Then changed back to NY uniform cause I mad until wanna wear that uniform back (Joy wore the PE one back cause she loves the PE uniform damn lot).
Then I chor lor until uniform also cannot wear properly. At around the under-sleeve there "piak" abit. As in lie4 kai1. ZZZ.
Reminded me of someone saying just a few days ago "Must be more feminine to guys as well."
And another saying "You so boyish scared no boys like you meh?" in which I was *mouth hanging open*. I mean, I don't really care and I've never thought that far.
Well secondary and JC relationships are crap anyway. Cause it's not like you wanna get married lah. (Crosses fingers and hope that I will still think this way all the way until JC 2.)
Then after that my parents had some drinks while I went off to find Hao Qing (I LOVE YOU TOO!!!) and her friend, Xiao Yi or something, cause they wanna meet me. They're gonna be my schoolmates next year too! I really hope Joy and Hao Qing are in the same class as me, they are freaking awesome!
Lol Hao Qing was taking her measurements and she was damn excited too! (:
Anyway she's damn tall. Like around Sean's height. o.O 165 liddat.
And her mum is dressed just like my mum lol. Very office-woman, and same white blouse, black skirt, black heels...
When we were done chatting, I roamed around the school for abit. I didn't get lost as it was my 7th time there, so I da gai know the way la.
Altogether 3 parents thought I was a Nanyang girl and asked me for directions. -.-
2 of them I know lah (bus-stop and toilet), but the other one, LTD room.. Wth is that lol. So I was like, "Err sorry I just changed into this uniform one ><."
Haha it felt weird to be staring at some other p6 kid with their mums asking for directions, and knowing that the p6 kid took the same PSLE papers as me. XD
When we were about to go for lunch, yunxin suddenly called me (actually I called and smsed her alot of times but she din reply) and said she's at the art room and asked me go find her.
So I told my parents I wanna go find yx. LOL they really got pissed cause I kept finding people, making them wait.
Anyway I went to the art room lar. Stood outside waving at yunxin with my new uniform. Yunxin later told me I looked cute in that ahaha~! And the AEP teacher Mr LKB (she says alot of ny girls say he is shuai, somemore he got FAN CLUB in ny?!) said the same thing too. (:
Without further ado we headed to "Fish Market" to have our lunch.. It's like 5 minutes drive from Nanyang or less.
I promised Pinetree I will bring him there someday hahaha~. Since he totally loves fish. (Pinetree + Fish = ...?!)
I ordered Fish and Chips lol. >< I totally adore Fish and Chips!!! (:
I was like smsing Joy to tell her I'm dining in the NY uniform and she smsed back that she was dining in the NY PE attire hahaha!! (:
Anyway this is one of her smses, when I said that I felt like wearing the uniform to tuition later:

I smsed her and turned out that it's her grandma, but her mum and her usually go there to help out de. (:
My mum said she really missed the fishball noodles they served. She said it was really delicious and she frequents that place.
After that go meet my parent's auditor's secretary or something. To sign some blahblah forms.
Then go back and I chionged my last tuition homework. And chatted on MSN with Joy and Jia Ling.
Joy was like as HIGH~ as me haha!
We three totally love the PE attire ok!!!
The first thing they said to me was somewhere along the lines of: I love the Nanyang PE attire! :D

We were talking about today while waiting for the door to open lar. Xi Mei, Heng Yi Wen and Jing Fei got posted to RV... Naihui, anddunnowho to Nanhua, Pamela to Swiss Cottage, etc.
Anyway XM and YW were like moaning about how incredibly difficult the RV uniform was to wear.. Sounded kinda familiar and I recalled Jie Ying's PM on how she didn't know how to wear the RV uniform etcetc.
Lol.
Seriously I dunno how to put on the NY uniform in a rush. -.- Later the whole thing lie diao. ZZZ.

Ok got the performance thing as I had mentioned~.
It was rather okay la. Not bad..
Got 3 CSS people come, including ZIJIE and BENJAMIN! =D
Zijie (I supported him until he was out) sang some JJ Lin song and Benjamin sang Xijie+Fei Ni Mo Shu.
Also alot of other bands/singers (not popular zzz) but their singing was good.
First half was more of 98.7FM + 93.3FM hits.
Second half more RETRO de...
Oh anyway one of the singers sang Yi Ren Yi Ban. Haha~ 881... I kinda like that song anyway.
And there's this fatfat singer which Yichun kept niaoing. Say she what, look like the 'Shrek' Fiona... ZZZ damn mean but very funny. She sang a cantonese and a koren song, korean song was 'Byul' from 200 Pounds Beauty. One of my favourite korean songs. Favourite is still, guess, Winter Sonata and My Memory (also from WS). (:

Some random guy sang Nothing's Gonna Change My Love For You. I thought it was bad. Really bad. Didn't even make me go 'aw...'.
And some ex-SIA stewardess sang Xi Shui Chang Liu (Xin Yao!!!) and me and Yichun (he know the lyrics cos it's one of the "hwachong songs" sang along. Hmm I really like that song. (:
Also someone sang Lian Ai ING which brought back lots of CIP Old Folks' Home memories...I really miss 6D!! And Siew Boon!! And my clique!!
Finale they like damn NDP. Used the "We Will Get There" Chinese version.

Anyway they were like filming the entire thing and putting it on the projector screen while the performers were performing. If you look at the screen it's like some charity show thing, esp the Finale.
After that go nearby coffeeshop (obq, i go to coffeeshops as well).. I ordered Chicken Rice (qu dao na li chi dao na li) and two fried chicken wings haha. <33
