She is unpredictable, frequent moodswings. Sometimes she’s nice, and sometimes she’s not.

Her name is Yan Ying. 90% of the world can’t pronounce it properly, simple as it seems. But no one really cares so they just call her YY. She is not fond of people with the same name as her. She turns 14 on 6th September and she loves her birthday cause it is a sex symbol.

She was from Yew Tee Primary and is still proud of her school. She will never forget the class of 6D’07, or the batch of P6’07. She is currently an idiot in Nanyang Girls High and it is a love-hate relationship. She belongs to 202’09 which she, to be honest, doesn’t feel much for.

She is a Theatre Club girl and is more than proud to be one. She especially loves Emo Batch♥, and looks forward to devoting her next 3 years to TCN with much optimism.

She does ballet with more than just passion but she can’t do a center split. She is trying her best and is currently aiming for a far-fetched distinction for Grade6. She loves hiphop just as much though she’s pretty new at it. Her favourite sport is swimming and she occasionally plays basketball as a form of stress-relief. She likes to be tan and loves her swimming tan line. The piano, is yet another love-hate relationship.

Like most teenagers, her hobbies include MSNing, blogging, and youtubing and facebooking. She loves shopping and doing random stuff like gaying people, jumping over railings, walking in the rain, and having completely irregular sleeping hours.

Unlike most teenagers, she thinks that rap music is trash. She also thinks that she is getting old cause she hates the songs the average listens to these days. She can’t explain her love for oldies, country music, ballads, and sentimentals. Nostalgic songs are the best. Her favourite bands are Michael Learns to Rock, The Beatles and Westlife. She loves too many singers to name them all.

“Forevers” are bullshit as of now.

The night speaks to her the way no one else can. Her favourite thing to do is to curl up with a book on a rainy afternoon in her room, where she feels safest in. Her favourite flower is a black rose, but on the contrary, she likes rainbows and hugs too.

She is always torn between two.

But she is determined when she sets her mind on something, so she wants the world to shut up and believe in her. Just watch.

PSLE oral (Chinese)

PSLE oral for Chinese went quite alright.
Went out of the examination classroom feeling awesome.
But now pretty demoralized already. Argh thanks to Fong Jia Ling.

I'll rewind back to this morning.

Hmm actually I planned to wake up at around 5.30 to revise...But when the alarm went off I was still so frigging tired that I switched it off and drifted back to sleep again, despite having the mentality of slacking for one more minute then wake up.
Auntie woke me at 6.20pm...Took just 10 minutes to revise. Okay, fine, since ytd already revised so much, I can remember quite a lot already.

Pretty unlucky though, the fact that the picture didn't come out what I've revised. The picture was pretty...
Later say.

Anyway, I reached school slightly before 7.25. Alot of people at the hall already. I was basically the last few.
O.O Wah seh, is everyone than kan cheong?
I shall go earlier tomorrow..Haha.

Miss Foo was in charge of our team, Team 441.
Yay Miss Foo! My brother's form teacher, haha. She was marking attendance in the hall (we were seated according to our index) and then when she went to my name she didn't say out, just smiled at me. LOL. I'm not that close to her, but she's one of those teachers whom I think is good.

In the waiting room, we were seated according to index number in rows of 3s, therefore me, Sherry and Yan Ting turned to face the back. The 6 of us (we 3 + Pamela, Alex and Amos) took turns to read passage and describe picture. And each of us will give our opinion and the marks for that person. Their average marks for my reading was around 18, 19.
Picture was around 18 like that too.
Didn't go for conversation as we didn't have enough time.
We were all very united..Haha..Kept JIAYOUing each other on.

Time flies. Soon, an hour had passed and it was my turn. Said good luck to everyone, including SJ, Samuel and Carrissa before I went out, ready for war. Really, while in the waiting room I was seriously nervous, but as soon as I walked out, nervousness evaporated.

Kinda smirked abit at the passage.
Man, PSLE is cheapskate.
I read the passage before. Only change a few hard words to easier words, like pu ren to yong ren.
If they didn't change those few words, it will be easier for me to attempt a higher than the rest.
I READ THE PASSAGE BEFORE.
=D

Not to be too happy, though, because I took a big scare in picture.
The first thing which went off in my head was "Oh shit. What the hell is this place called?!"
There's soft toys, porcelain tea pots, jewellery, wooden ducks, mirrors, pearl...?!?!?!

I totally forgotten my bai huo gong si.
I said, "zhe fu tu miao hui de shi gou wu shi chang qi zhong yi jian dian de qing jing."
Acceptable I suppose. Odelia and a few of them said that too. At least better than some who said like, chao ji shi chang.
Wahahahahaha supermarket. XD

Vvvvvv soon 5 minutes was up without me enjoying the scenery. Not that I intended to, just that Miss Lin warned us that for the precious 5 minutes, we're suppose to make FULL USE of it and not admire the scenery. I had never done that during oral in my life?
Kiasu, kiasi, typical Singaporean.

Examiners signalled for me to come in. I saw them on my way to the waiting room, since the exam room came before the waiting room. Went inside lor..Seriously, my heart was beating at normal rate and I was...Oookay, whatever, this doesn't even seem like PSLE, I'm not even nervous at all...WHEN THIS IS 25% OF MY PSLE CHINESE MARKS. I did know that, of course.

Went in with a smile. Hmm it was natural lar. Even if teacher hadn't told me to smile I would have.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
LET'S TAKE A CUT ALRIGHT?!

Because my mum just received a call from NANYANG GIRLS HIGH around a 15 minutes ago.
Take your time to scroll down to find out more...

I GOT THROUGH THE WRITTEN PAPER ROUND OF THE NYGH DSA!

Not blogging immediately because I was so ecstatic that I told 5 people already...
First person was Darius Yip. I mean, when my mum came into my room with the news, he suddenly PMed me on MSN, with "wa using computer har...Never study hor.."
Second was Penguin. Since he is from Hwa Chong and he helps me lots with my assessments and works, SMSed him la.
Then SMSed JF.
Then called ASB.
Then called SJ.
ASB and SJ seemed most happy for me. SJ kept asking me about the DSA thing..Esp "WAH, THEN NI INTERVIEW RU GUO JIN THEN NI DE PSLE AGGREGATE KAO BU JIN YE KE YI LA!" True friends, you see.
Neither Penguin nor JF have replied yet. Haha..

Oh and my Chinese tutor just called. The oral tutor. Sixth person I told. Lol, after him I'll try and keep my mouth shut already. In case I fail the interview then so lau kui.
Although Siew Boon's mum said interview will be no problem for me.
Hello?! CHAN JING YI aka Miss 271 aka Miss YTPS highest last year, failed the interview can?!
But ASB said CJY is much more shy than me. =/
Hmm if I don't have confidence and freak out and no eye contact and no smile, I shall fail also.
My greatest problem is stammering.
When I'm nervous I stammer.

Man, I thought I was writing total utter crap for Chinese. Well I was, seriously! And my handwriting..Sucked because I was rushing and I was sweating and I was about to cry.
Math and English were okay. Neither was easy.
DSA's hard.

Still....
WAHAHAHAAHAHAHA!!!

I'm trying not to get too big-headed. And I'm only going to tell my Platinum friends and tutors and cousins and just a few people not from ytps la.
Or, unless you read my blog or you see my MSN display name. XD
For fear of later lau kui if fail interview.

Secret: I have so low self-esteem that I'm afraid NYGH may call back anytime and tell me they've got the wrong person. Because I still got the mentality that my DSA sux like hell.
Choy.

Anyway, let's hope they won't...

And rmb, I'm not officially in yet...

But I do have a chance! Oh my...

=))

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Okay let's continue !
=)
Where were we?
Oh.
Entered with a smile, trying to look as pleasant as possible.
Checked out the teachers.
The one on my left the face is damn bin chao chao one. The one on my right is really friendly and she smiles.
Coincidentally, the one bin chao chao one is wearing a black T-shirt while the friendly one's in white.
Though such, I'm not affected. Gave a natural smile.
I was pretty confident for passage, only almost read one word wrong, like "t-qing". Not that word lah, but situation was like that.

Picture was okay. I thought I did not bad, except for bit of stammering (im not nervous, just that i couldn't find words to say) and saying a verb as a noun. The first few sentences for some unknown reasons I didn't meet the teachers' eye, but then later I remembered to look up and have abit of eye contact, and so I did.
SMILE!

Conversation went not bad too. Except for saying a two totally irrelevant words, the rest were okay except for bit of stammering. The teachers were nodding throughout my conversation...And the black shirt one smiled a bit I think.

Passage was my best, of course, followed by my conver than picture bahh. =))

OKAY!
Going to prepare for English! At least more qing song!! =))
