Profile
She is unpredictable, frequent moodswings. Sometimes she’s nice, and sometimes she’s not. Her name is Yan Ying. 90% of the world can’t pronounce it properly, simple as it seems. But no one really cares so they just call her YY. She is not fond of people with the same name as her. She turns 14 on 6th September and she loves her birthday cause it is a sex symbol. She was from Yew Tee Primary and is still proud of her school. She will never forget the class of 6D’07, or the batch of P6’07. She is currently an idiot in Nanyang Girls High and it is a love-hate relationship. She belongs to 202’09 which she, to be honest, doesn’t feel much for. She is a Theatre Club girl and is more than proud to be one. She especially loves Emo Batch♥, and looks forward to devoting her next 3 years to TCN with much optimism. She does ballet with more than just passion but she can’t do a center split. She is trying her best and is currently aiming for a far-fetched distinction for Grade6. She loves hiphop just as much though she’s pretty new at it. Her favourite sport is swimming and she occasionally plays basketball as a form of stress-relief. She likes to be tan and loves her swimming tan line. The piano, is yet another love-hate relationship. Like most teenagers, her hobbies include MSNing, blogging, and youtubing and facebooking. She loves shopping and doing random stuff like gaying people, jumping over railings, walking in the rain, and having completely irregular sleeping hours. Unlike most teenagers, she thinks that rap music is trash. She also thinks that she is getting old cause she hates the songs the average listens to these days. She can’t explain her love for oldies, country music, ballads, and sentimentals. Nostalgic songs are the best. Her favourite bands are Michael Learns to Rock, The Beatles and Westlife. She loves too many singers to name them all. “Forevers” are bullshit as of now. The night speaks to her the way no one else can. Her favourite thing to do is to curl up with a book on a rainy afternoon in her room, where she feels safest in. Her favourite flower is a black rose, but on the contrary, she likes rainbows and hugs too. She is always torn between two. But she is determined when she sets her mind on something, so she wants the world to shut up and believe in her. Just watch.Tag

HAPPY NATIONAL DAY SINGAPORE!
Firstly, I will have to declare:I LOVE SINGAPORE!!! Happy 42nd Birthday, Singapore! I am proud to be a Singaporean. And I'll give whatever I can. You have a place in my heart forever. I really, really (100x) sincerely love my country. I dunno why, but I am super 爱国 one. That's why I can't tolerate that @#$%^&*. Okay let's shut up about that crazy China teacher because we are on the subject of Singapore, and Singapore will do perfectly fine, even better, without her. So today, I didn't go out with my Taiwan friends as Prelims is just - ERRPS - two weeks away and I had to mug until I key-siao. Listened to NDP songs on http://www.ndp.org.sg/ and smiling for the entire day today. I just love NDP songs so much...And it's just amazing how I can recall the lyrics of NDP songs from 7 years back onwards. I din even had to think lar, the song was playing and naturally, because singing's my passion although I'm hopeless at it, I opened my mouth and started singing along. I felt... Like a Singaporean? I don't know, I love Singapore so much. My toptoptop favourites (because all my favourites already) should be.."We Will Get There" from year 2002, by Stefanie Sun, "Reach out for the Skies" aka everyone's favorite from year 2005, by Taufik Batisah and Rui En, "My Island home" from year 2006, by Kaira Gong. The rest are completely awesome too, NDP songs just blow me away. This year's one is pretty different. Not many of my classmates like it, because probably they don't really get into the lyrics and how meaningful the song is. "There's no place I'd rather be" by Kit Chan is one of the most meaningful NDP songs, and I will probably sing it during national day in the future if I, like Jia Tian, furthers my studies abroad. But I wouldn't choose China. And really, there's no place I'd rather be. I might be admiring New Zealand's mountains, U.S.A, Australia, but still, Singapore is irreplaceable. I might be complaining about how stressful the education system is in Singapore (stating a fact), but still, Singapore is the country I love. When I grow up I'm not going to migrate anywhere. Unless the education system is 'cham' until Geography and History is compulsary for all Kindergarteners. I'm not going to migrate because here is where I live my life, where all my memories are kept safe, where my childhood and innocence used to live. Migrating permanently to another country is like being born again. And never would I leave my friends and family. No way. Today, messages of "HAPPY NATIONAL DAY!", "HAPPY BIRTHDAY SINGAPORE!", "I LOVE SINGAPORE!" are flying around. It's great to see everyone being so enthu. Except for one pai kia who says he hates SG. I'm never going to speak to him ever again. Asshole. Everyone was mass-sending..I sent 42 messages of "HAPPY NATIONAL DAY! I LOVE SINGAPORE!!" in total. $4.20. O.O Nvm, I shall cut down on SMSes for like 3 days to account to that. Anyway, the fireworks were AWESOME! Parade was okay. But I was extremely pissed with the fact that everyone kept talking so loudly I couldn't hear the TV, and so I went up to the 3rd storey to have some peace. I was bleddy "ARGH!" when the children came up to join me as they were making a din of themselves. By children I mean my brother and the 9 yrs old Taiwanese boy. Me and Sunny, she's 13 from Taiwan, hit on pretty well, actually. I was so, so proud of Singapore (for absolutely no reason) when the parade came to an end, I really couldn't imagine how Mr Lee Kuan Yew felt. And I guess I will never. You all know what he has painstakingly done, I'm so 饮水思源. I really do respect the Father of Singapore. Okay, but still there's some flaws in PAP. Firstly, the abbrievation. I'm sure you all know. I guess I'm gonna turn in for the night. Pretty worn-out already. 12:29 AM, but I'm putting time as 11:59 PM Proud to be a Singaporean. Proud of Singapore. There's no place I'd rather be. Proud to be a Singaporean. Proud of Singapore. |
