She is unpredictable, frequent moodswings. Sometimes she’s nice, and sometimes she’s not. Her name is Yan Ying. 90% of the world can’t pronounce it properly, simple as it seems. But no one really cares so they just call her YY. She is not fond of people with the same name as her. She turns 14 on 6th September and she loves her birthday cause it is a sex symbol. She was from Yew Tee Primary and is still proud of her school. She will never forget the class of 6D’07, or the batch of P6’07. She is currently an idiot in Nanyang Girls High and it is a love-hate relationship. She belongs to 202’09 which she, to be honest, doesn’t feel much for. She is a Theatre Club girl and is more than proud to be one. She especially loves Emo Batch♥, and looks forward to devoting her next 3 years to TCN with much optimism. She does ballet with more than just passion but she can’t do a center split. She is trying her best and is currently aiming for a far-fetched distinction for Grade6. She loves hiphop just as much though she’s pretty new at it. Her favourite sport is swimming and she occasionally plays basketball as a form of stress-relief. She likes to be tan and loves her swimming tan line. The piano, is yet another love-hate relationship. Like most teenagers, her hobbies include MSNing, blogging, and youtubing and facebooking. She loves shopping and doing random stuff like gaying people, jumping over railings, walking in the rain, and having completely irregular sleeping hours. Unlike most teenagers, she thinks that rap music is trash. She also thinks that she is getting old cause she hates the songs the average listens to these days. She can’t explain her love for oldies, country music, ballads, and sentimentals. Nostalgic songs are the best. Her favourite bands are Michael Learns to Rock, The Beatles and Westlife. She loves too many singers to name them all. “Forevers” are bullshit as of now. The night speaks to her the way no one else can. Her favourite thing to do is to curl up with a book on a rainy afternoon in her room, where she feels safest in. Her favourite flower is a black rose, but on the contrary, she likes rainbows and hugs too. She is always torn between two. But she is determined when she sets her mind on something, so she wants the world to shut up and believe in her. Just watch.Tag

SCGS open house
Went for SCGS (Singapore Chinese Girls School) open house on Saturday. Yoke Kay talked me into it. Well, not exactly, I wanted to go too, just that she introduced.Lahhs. But Nanyang still comes FIRST. Tell you what, I don't give a damn about RGS. No idea why, but I seriously don't like RGS. If Mdm Chua (Just English tutor) sees this entry, I'm going to die. She's a die-hard ex-RGS gurl. Attitude can see already lohhh... AND SHE'S DAMN PARTICULAR ABOUT MARKS. She cares a heck lot okay. Her expectation is SUPER high. Higher than my parents and my teacher's. Everything full marks, full marks, full marks. If not, she will say, "The lowest you can go is..." Which, in my case, means the highest you can go. But then it feels nice whenever she says (always), "Who score full in this section?", and then you raise up your hand. Then she will always say, "See that hand over there? Higher, don't be shy." You will feel very satisfied. So where were we? Lost again? Okayy. SCGS open house. I woke up at like, what, 9.45pm, eyelids still drooping like crazy, wasn't fully awake until YYK called, telling me she would be 15 mins late to meet at my house. My mum's bringing us there. Passed by NYGH at Bukit Timah! Omigosh. My dream school man - It is SO SUPER BEAUTIFUL CANN?? They even provided a car wash service at SCGS. Haha. The girls there who were introducing and explaining and showing people around were all very friendly and nice. Usually they wore inviting and welcoming smiles. We didn't get to see much, though. Firstly, went to see bout the History and Geography thingiie. It was quite interesting - I have a knack for that. >.< Just interest? SCGS is very strong in those two subjects. After that, managed to squeeze into the principal talk lecture room...Guess who I saw there? ANGELA from Just Science! Coincidence to see her there...She's like so sensible, cuz she's trying to have her sec sch to be a girl's school, or else according to her, will 'xiang wai wai'. Yeshh, one thing. 'xiang wai wai' is kinda a compliment to ME. How does it have any relation to me? 'wai wai' = YY. =) 'Think YY." Ohh, I'm flattered. The talk was BO-RING though, it wasn't long before we escaped out, to get briefing of the girl guides (not like i'm ever interested) and see the gymnastics - it was super good and pro man! They seem so elegant, although a couple of times they were wobbling. I mean, it's PRACTISING, duh-uh. Went for lunch at the canteen. My noodles was okay lar, but my mum said her's nt nice...It was a quick lunch, though, cuz we had to rush to OUR highlight of the day - their dance performance at 1pm. OK, number 1, they are extremely talented. I wish I can dance as good as them someday - I know I WILL. Performing Arts is one of SCGS's niche areas, so...Yeah. You know how passionate I am about dance - it's practically my life, music and dance. Pen and paper isn't enough to describe how I love it. Aww, it would make a good boyfriend for me, don't you think so? I'm just kidding. Hard choice - NYGH or SCGS as first choice? Let's reason. 1) NYGH Reasons I wanna go- 1) People will think you are suuuupeeeeerrrrr smart and look up to you? (I had to think long before I came up with this one okay...) 2) Jia Tian Jie Jie!!! My role-model!!! (Make good use of your scholarship and do our family proud ok!) 3) Oh? My relatives are all expecting me to go NYGH what. (Not easy. Pressure. I'm going to faint for prelims if I can't hit 262.) 4) I just seem to share a special bond. LMAO. Ask anyone and they will know how crazy I can get by just looking at the school. 5) The most important one. Dang, you secure a place in Hwa Chong JC. (Dunno why, but I am so desperate that I will DIE if I don't go there.) Reasons I dun wanna go- 1) Way, too, much stress. I'm a happy girl, please don't dampen my spirits. 2) If I'm not wrong, Nanyang studies ALL DAY...Have a question. What other areas do they excel in besides Academic? 2) SCGS Reasons I wanna go- 1) Danceeee, duh uh. Reasons I dun wanna go- 1) OEI! HAVE TO TAKE O-LEVELS LAR!!!! No place in Hwa Chong JC. Exam? Sian man... 2) Compare SCGS to NYGH. Which is better school? SCGS affiliated is only 200 okay. That is BAD. Got stress anot, I dun noe. Was having a hard time deciding them both. Had ballet just now, then I was talking to Miss Wendy after lesson with YYK, and then I was like, "Aiya, I dunno whether to put my first choice as Nanyang or SCGS..." Miss Wendy didn't give a second thought. "OF COURSE NANYANG LARR!!! I have alot of students also go Nanyang one..." Her word is final. I have always looked up to her since P1 when she started teaching me ballet. Now that I list out everything, I also feel more crystal clear...Dance, I still can master outside right? What's the point of mastering studies outside lar? So weird... Taking DSA for NYGH, SCGS and RVHS. My top three schools. >.< Oh yar, anyone is so free to help me to keep a lookout for NYGH's open house? Joy said this year already finish alr, but whatever. Back to square one. Final choice : NANYANG GIRLS HIGH. I WORSHIP YOU. |
