Smoke gets in your eyes.

She is unpredictable, frequent moodswings. Sometimes she’s nice, and sometimes she’s not.

Her name is Yan Ying. 90% of the world can’t pronounce it properly, simple as it seems. But no one really cares so they just call her YY. She is not fond of people with the same name as her. She turns 14 on 6th September and she loves her birthday cause it is a sex symbol.

She was from Yew Tee Primary and is still proud of her school. She will never forget the class of 6D’07, or the batch of P6’07. She is currently an idiot in Nanyang Girls High and it is a love-hate relationship. She belongs to 202’09 which she, to be honest, doesn’t feel much for.

She is a Theatre Club girl and is more than proud to be one. She especially loves Emo Batch♥, and looks forward to devoting her next 3 years to TCN with much optimism.

She does ballet with more than just passion but she can’t do a center split. She is trying her best and is currently aiming for a far-fetched distinction for Grade6. She loves hiphop just as much though she’s pretty new at it. Her favourite sport is swimming and she occasionally plays basketball as a form of stress-relief. She likes to be tan and loves her swimming tan line. The piano, is yet another love-hate relationship.

Like most teenagers, her hobbies include MSNing, blogging, and youtubing and facebooking. She loves shopping and doing random stuff like gaying people, jumping over railings, walking in the rain, and having completely irregular sleeping hours.

Unlike most teenagers, she thinks that rap music is trash. She also thinks that she is getting old cause she hates the songs the average listens to these days. She can’t explain her love for oldies, country music, ballads, and sentimentals. Nostalgic songs are the best. Her favourite bands are Michael Learns to Rock, The Beatles and Westlife. She loves too many singers to name them all.

“Forevers” are bullshit as of now.

The night speaks to her the way no one else can. Her favourite thing to do is to curl up with a book on a rainy afternoon in her room, where she feels safest in. Her favourite flower is a black rose, but on the contrary, she likes rainbows and hugs too.

She is always torn between two.

But she is determined when she sets her mind on something, so she wants the world to shut up and believe in her. Just watch.

Sarimbun Scout Camp...

You are my sunshine,
My only sunshine.
You make me happy,
When skies are grey.

You never know dear,
How much I love you,
Please don't take,
My sunshine away!

REMIX!

You are my sun-sun-sun-sunshine,
My only sun-sun-sun-sunshine.
You make me ha-ha-ha-happy,
When skies are grey-grey-grey-grey-grey.

You never know dear,
How much I love you,
Please don't take,
My sunshine away!

Yes, it's the PEE FIVE CAMP!
Oops. Sorry for the PEE!
Well overall, it's QUITE fun.
And I really did miss a couple of things at home...
1) VERY MUCH THE FAMOUS HYGIENE!!! (Damn it, at camp, u just have to sit ANYWHERE, on the WET grass, the sandy floor, anywhere. Home is still the cleanest.)
2) My computer.
3) SMSing.
4) My comfy mattress. =)
5) My boster. (There's a secret behind this, you know.)
6) My MTV!!!!!! ( MTV rocks)
7) My CDs/songs.
8) Ai Qing Ling Du C. (Love Zero Degrees)
9) The time when I can take long showers and sing and no one can bother me.
10) My bathing privacy. (You know, you have to bathe with at least 2-3 person.)
11) My piano. (I have to practise everyday, or I'll die. Already have the habit of practising everyday. When I practised yesterday, I got so frustrated cuz I keep getting some notes wrong!!!)
12) Maybe abit of my guitar...
13) My own sweet time!! (You have to rush like mad at camp)
14) My aircon.
15) MY ROOM!!!!
16) AND MY HOME!!!

Okay, maybe not really a COUPLE of things, but...
Yay!
Well, I did last minute packing, which is really different from my friends as they were all so god damn excited. I packed on Sunday NIGHT. Well...Packed a bit on Saturday, and got what I needed on Sunday, and packed everything on Sunday night.
Anyway, right now I'm listening to "Honey" by Wang Xin Ling on Limewire. The more I listen to those act cute songs, the more irritated I get. I just chanced upon it and see if it is really as bad as I thought last time.
God! I hate the song and the singer, because it is so dammit act cute and I hate those, as well as Pe0ple tyypiing lyyk thiish. It is so god damn irritating, and it makes me have a headache.
At least my Katherine Mcphee's Somewhere over the Rainbow which I'm listening NOW is wayy better, CYNDI!
Okay, back to topic.

(-Secrets saved as draft-)

We were grouped on the bus on Monday, btw. I was in group 14, with JC. The fat pig. EEE. When we alighted, we went into our respective groups, and I wasn't really close to any of them in my group, but being such a SOCIAL BUTTERFLY (weeehaaa!) I made friends with a girl name Sylvia.
But too found out that she's another typical not-so-mature girl.
Bleh.
Anyway, our trainer is Andi, and he's great. Very funny too!! Our group name is Reef, and combined with two other groups, Arnette and the other one I've forgotten, our group name is W.A.H. Wah!!! Becuz Group 15's trainer is Wati, group 13's trainer is Hui Jia, so...GO WAH!!!
There's 22 groups altogether, and WJ is in group 3, JL 16, Anna 16 (so good, together!), JQ 16, damn SH in 15, EJF in 15, YYK in 1, as well as Fiona (woolala), and so on, yadayada.
Okay, after the groupings, the girls were showed to their dorms and the boys to their A-hut. Girls have good life, cuz got fan!! =) The aircon at home is still better, though. The boys A-hut..They said there were rats! And cockroaches eggs, and spider eggs!! Eeew! But they have to go to NS 7 years later, so...Don't be too pampered, guys!
You have to protect girls when you grow up next time, anyway. Dumbos!
Well, after the short briefing, we were shown to our "hotels" which means dormitory in that case, and we had to "check in". Sylvia and I were the last in the line, so the other girls got in first, and quickly booked the beds. We had no choice but to sleep on the floor, and I, being very sui bian, didn't say anything, so it was all peaceful, though Sylvia complained to me a little.
Sleeping on the floor also has its advantages, you know. One of them is not feeling cool. The fan is just blowing almost directly at you. Those on the beds were so hot. =D The next morning, Sylvia and I were thinking that it was so shuang.
Back to story.
We then had to change into our long pants/track pants for archery...Well, I'm no expert, so I only shot the wide black space on the board, instead of anywhere in the circle. The second time got much worse. Dang, it landed on the ground. =.= Almost got on the black board.
Okay, so I have to admit that this irritating Peary boy is really good. At least he burst the balloon in the final competition where we have to send three best players. *Claps* He's the only one who burst it, you know.
Activity Rating: 3 and the half/5
Reason being: I had to sit on the grass and wait for so long while everyone got their tries before we could go back. Don't test my patience. It is wearing thin, and I'm not much of a patient person. The activity was really nice, though.

MUD TRACK!!! IT WAS MUD TRACK AFTER!!!
Hell, it was really, really nice and I enjoyed most of it!!!
Wonderful experience, it was. We had to walk quite a long way of narrow, jerky path between the different trees and the grasses and plants. A good reccommendation for biologists. But if you're not careful, you can fall, so you'd better look what's ahead. When we finally saw the mud pond, I was quite excited. We had to hold hands, and I was in between two girls, Sylvia and another girl. Sylvia was in between me and Jeff. She looked at me with a slight pleading look for a second and I rolled my eyes and changed places with her. Seriously, sometimes I really don't know what is up with some people. It is just a team-building activity which requires us to hold hands. Hell, not as if holding hands means loving each other right?! I didn't care about immature stuff like those. I could tell that Jeff didn't really care too.
And so we entered the mud "happily". Happily. Whatever. The trainers were really thoughtful. They didn't want us to splash and play around till we got muddy from head to toe, cuz they said that it will get very itchy and dirty, and we are running out of time, so there isn't really anytime to wash it off. And the smell wasn't exactly what you'd call disgusting and "pukable". It was plain weird.
The most the mud went was until the thigh, for some people. It was until my knees, for me.
So it wasn't really that fun...
But still, nice experience, and quite fun.
Some of them were "eeeking" and "yukking" and wincing, but I was seriously enjoying the hell out of myself there. Sometimes, I think I'm weird. When they first announced that were going to the Mud Track, my reaction was no different from the others. EEE.
And during the Mud Track (Nature Rumble), I told some of the guys, "When you see me later, I'm gonna be your commander at NS." Just kidding. Not wasting my life on that. Just not my style. No, damn it, I'm not scared of mud and this and that, but it's just not my style, geddit?
I only hated the part when we have to wash clean. No, I'm more than happy to get clean, but washing up my full of mud shoes are seriously more disgusting than going to the muddy stream. I dunno why I think like this.
Activity rating: 4/5
Reason being: Washing the shoe and the mud...it's kind of, a little, disgusting, but fun.

After dinner (group 13-22), we had to assemble at the flag pole field. I've forgotten why, but there seems to have some sort of punishment where we have to raise up our right hand quite a long time. Quite numb.
Then went to bathe..
No surprise, it was chaotic!! We were all rushing around, bathing in full speed. I think I only took 2-3 minutes. Aiya, u dun have to be so clean at camp.
Yentl, "ANONYMOUS" and I shared a cubicle. I didn't want to waste time, so I bathe first, while urging them to take off their clothes and bathe. Yentl was shy, so the waited for me to finish first. I dunno why. I also have to see her when I change shirt! Can understand "anonymous"...she's having her, um, period. Glad mine didn't come. So she bathe after we both finished.
"ANONYMOUS2" was also having her period, so she asked the trainer if she can bathe herself. Now guys, see how troublesome it can get??
Enough on bathing. My best time at camp was on the first night there. (NOT CAMPFIRE NIGHT!!) I was one of the first to arrive at the MPH, but I forgot to bring my extra T-Shirt, so I ran back and took it. Sylvia wanted to go to the washroom, so I waited for her outside the dorm while she ran to the washroom. The was a trainer there repeating "Did you remember to bring your extra T-Shirt?" everytime she sees a girl comes out. Then she asked me "Do I sound like a radio repeating this over and over again?" I laughed, and then said, " Did you remember to bring your extra T-Shirt?" when the next girl came out. The trainer was smiling a little.
So when Sylvia came, we ran to the MPH, not wanting to be late.
It we did quite a number of cheers (from group 1 all the way to 22), then we had to blindfold ourselves with the Extra T-Shirt. Some people just couldn't keep quiet and some keep pulling down their blindfolds for no whatsoever reasons. I don't know what's the problem with them. So we had to go through another hand-raising routine.
The activity is known as the "Blind Man's Trail", anyway. When we were finally told to stand up, we were in a straight row then. We had to put our left hand on the person in front's left shoulder, and that person will put their right hand over it. Get it?
We were pretty secure, and we walked, walked and walked with our blindfolds for about 20-30 mins. It was an experience of a blind man, surely. I didn't cheat, though I was rarely tempted to. Cheating will spoil everything.
It was the best activity at camp, and sometimes I would reach my leg out to see if there were any stairs. There was one, and I alerted the person behind.
It was really, really fun. Someone blowed with their mouth, and someone used their fingertips to run across my arms. I know it is "someone" because it's so fake! When blowing, I said, "Bad breath." When making me think like theres an insect on my arm, I said, "Not ticklish enough." =D YOU CANNOT FOOL ME!
The light was glaring and my vision blurred when we finally opened our eyes slowly. First, we were told to take off the blindfolds but not open the eyes. Then we were instructed to open it. We were at the flag pole field.
It was so funny afterwards. Miss Lin told JQ, "Just know when you say got tree...It's actually Mr. Chua's leg." And everyone there was cracking up, because JQ said, "WHY SO HAIRY ONE?!?!?" LMAO!!!!! He was so pai seh.
I told Miss Lin, "Just now someone blowed on me...Bad breath." Miss Lin said, "Not me..." Then Ms Ler said, "Where got bad breath..." CULPRIT CAUGHT!!!
I suspected it was Miss Lin which made her fingers crawl on my arms then.
Someone said she was scared...I forgot who. I was quite taken back. It was fun and exciting!
Activity Rating: 5/5!!!
Reason being: My fave activity there!!! Somehow, it was!

Putting Contact Lenses...Went quite okay.
I slept on the floor in the dormitory. I was being really sui bian, and didn't say anything. So it was damn peaceful, although Sylvia complained a little to me. Then we found out that there's an advantage to it.
The girls on the bed were feeling really hot, while we were feeling really cool. The fan was blowing mostly at us, and we were feeling just right.
=D
While the girls were complaining about being so hot, me and Sylvia were grinning away and saying that we were so cooling.
=D=D=D
I was half awake, half asleep during the whole night...I woke up quite a couple of times, once tossing and turning until I finally surrender myself to the tired me, then from about 4+am sleep until 6.45am. I was kind of...it was a mixture of excitement and chilling feeling cuz it's already the first day of the seventh month...You know what that means.

The first activity that day was Area Cleaning...My group had to clean up the dormitory, arrange it and all. It was really a quick job, and an easy one at that. I arranged the shoes. (We had Nasi Lemak for breakfast after that).
Later on, we had a discussion on this and that...A talk, rather. Practising cheers, and then one which went like:
(Firstly, Idam's the camp cheif, Iskanda (man) the assistant or sumting, plus Germaine)
Idam, you macho, you look like, HHHHUUU!!!(macho action).
Is, you sexy, you look like, wee wee! (hourglass action).
Germaine, you pretty, you look like, mmmm....(sissy pretty action).
Which I was laughing when I first heard it.
It was to earn points or something.

After that, rock climbing.
All I did was watch and wait.
Didn't get to try, as well as a few others, cuz there is no time...I borrowed a girl my track pants, so I had to go last, as I have to wait to get my track pants back.
Should not have lent.
From Lim YT experience, she said it felt like quicksand.
=.=
From Jeff's experience, he said his legs felt like jelly.
I have yet to try it. Where can I try it? Hmm..
So they looked pretty much like in a BGR when they were talking while sitting on the grass patch...They were alone at the back. And I kinda laughed and teased them after they finished their "sweet talk".
You know, if there were stars in the night, it would be better.
LMAO.
Activity Rating: 2 and the half/5
Reason being: 2 and the half marks were deducted as I didn't get to try. But it was nice listening to the others experience and watching them do it.

Next it was the Challenge Valley. In another group, something embarrassing happened, but I will not name what. I was the first to try the Challenge Valley, as I'm number 11 and have not tried rock climbing.
The scenario was:
5 tires were tied on a metal chain seperately. You have to start from one end and go to the other, from wheel to wheel.
Without team work, it's impossible to get through. I was the first, so no one had any experience, so they just stood there. LMAO. Imagine this: I got on the first wheel. The wheel shake shake shake. It hit on the other wheel. It shake shake shake. I shake shake shake. Everything shake shake shake. I tried to go on the other wheel. Also shake shake shake. Just as I tried approaching the third wheel, I fell face down. Okay, so it didn't hurt. Actually not one bit. Even though people gave me pathetic looks and ask, "Are you okay?" Wadeva. Not that I don't appreciate their concern. Well, I didn't CRY, for one!! I stood up almost immediately, brush off the sand on my track pants. That's all.
Most of the rest got through it without any troubles, as we were all helping already, so it was easy. Lesson learnt: Team work is important.
Activity Rating: 3 and the half/5
Reason Being: Quite boring.

Bathe, dinner, whatever.
Then it was the campfire.
Somehow, the first night, I thought, was much better than the second one. I was in the side where the people are so quiet and no spirit one. So they made me feel so sian.
And I was so sleepy.
The campfire's not even a campfire. The fire's not even burning. DUH?!
Well, group 13, 14, 15's cheers were like, one of the most lans. AND HELLO?! THE SONG?! It's like, no one even knows how to sing it.
It is so damn lame.
What, the one which Rahima Rahim sang.
You're outta my league,
I'm wasting my time,
And I know why,
I never will be good enough for you. For you.

Or something like that. Crappiest thing ever. Group 1,2,3's was quite nice. But I hate the fact that the modern dance girls there are using the modern dance steps to dance. It's not fair. I mean, call me go up there, I CAN DANCE THOSE STEPS TOO!!!!
Damn as hell.
Those girls.
The cheer for 13, 14, 15 was also very lame:
Trainer: Saega Saga Saega Saga!
Kids: Oioioi!
Trainer: Saega Saga Saega Saga!Kids: Oioioi!
Trainer: Saega!
Kids: Oi!
Trainer: Saga!
Kids: Oi!
Trainer: Saega Saga Saega Saga!
Kids: Oioioi!

Plus the earn points tactic.
Whatever.
I just wasn't really in the campfire mood.
And I think the P4 Leadership Camp trainers are more fun and I had much more fun there. Except for the worser hygiene.
Activity Rating: 2/5
Reason Being: Everything?

This time, I slept like a pig.
Totally.
It is ALWAYS the same. Every camp I've been to. First night, half asleep, half awake (the P4 one is worse. Slept for only about altogether 3 hrs, including the sleeping part at the chalet due to the rain), second night, sleep like a pig!!
Totally.
Had to wake up earlier the next day for some reasons.
And I could not find the pump to take out my contact lenses! DIE. So you see, I had to wear it until I get back home. Mom bought another one. Back to camp.
Worse thing is, I fell down in the morning too. It was that kind of typical injury on the knee lah, with blood and all.
Not really that painful, actually. I don't know what's up with me. I'm scared to see people's injuries, but just not mine.
=.=
I was really heng that we didn't have to clean toilets. We were picking up litters. Already fell, and with my contact lenses, it was more uncomfortable. So wash toilet, DIE.
Okay, won't say much about that morning...
Well, returned to school afterwards.
=)
AND TO HOME!!
I repeat, there's no place like home.
The first thing I went home was to...Um. I forgot.
But of course, I went to pee. =D I was urgent!
Later, wash my contact lenses, and took a long, sweet bath, then had lunch.
I was finally glad to be back home, clean, clean home. The first bath that you take after you come back home was the best bath you can EVER take, taking your own sweet time, instead of your damn 2-3 minutes, with trainers banging your door impatiently every now and then and shouting around, the sound of people rushing, everything.
At home, it was just you.
And your singing.
AWW, SO SWEEEEEEEEEEEET!!!!!!!!!
Didn't go for ballet or angklung. I mean, HOW MANY P5S DID YOU THINK WENT?!
Only stupid ones.

--------------------------
***Thursday***
Back to school.
Sigh.

---------------------------
***Friday***
It was the auditions for the National Day Inter-Class Dance Competition!
We did really well, actually, and we GOT IN!!!
Along with 5B and...5H, if I'm not wrong.
5B, must also support them. Our neighbour class!!!

---------------------------
***Saturday***
Well, Pamela, Batrisyia and YYK came to do the SS conserve energy project...
It was really, really fun. We kidded about with the computer, going Zodiac Girlz and all after we finished it. =)
Something happened with YYK...She was talking to her mother on the phone and crying, while we're eavesdropping on the other line...So cruel of us!
And once she go...
We started to have fun again.
So cruel.
LOL, but we can't spoil a day grieving over her right?!
I already did my job of drawing the light bulb and writing the big "CONSERVE ENERGY", so I went to bathe while they decorated and wrote the points of how to conserve energy...
After bathing, chilled abit on comp cuz project already finished...Then there was durian! Mom bought durian!
Before that, we practically forced the pandan cake down batrisyia's throat, but she was so reluctant that we gave up, and she THREW IT AWAY. God damn it, Bat, have you got no feelings for the third world?!
Well, she dun eat durian either, but pamela does a lot, so we tempted her (with YZ) by making her smell it and going, "mmmm..Yum..." Liddat. Hahha. She obviously hates the smell..

PIANO CONCERT AT NIGHT!
Wore my tight, white snoopy shirt and a white knee length skirt with two oval hoops dangling earrings and a pair of purple high heels, with my hair in a ponytail...
Well, it was quite nice.
=D
Played two songs, one solo, one duet..
The duet went off pretty great, except for one or two minor errors my cousins made.
The solo...Um....It was like: Okay, I made a single minor error, so my face flushed, and my heart was like, almost gonna jump out, with my nervous fingers, so I went on making quite a couple of mistakes, but playing dumb, so I don't think the audience even realised that there was any mistakes..
HAHAHA.
And some of Tcher Gin's students told her I was good!
=)
Okay, time for next entry..
This is way too long.
-----------------------------------
Some camp cheers:
Goes A little Green Frog
Everybody Dance now (Our fav!)
Sharks!
Campfire's Burning Now
She's been going round the mountains when she comes (something liddat)
