Profile
She is unpredictable, frequent moodswings. Sometimes she’s nice, and sometimes she’s not. Her name is Yan Ying. 90% of the world can’t pronounce it properly, simple as it seems. But no one really cares so they just call her YY. She is not fond of people with the same name as her. She turns 14 on 6th September and she loves her birthday cause it is a sex symbol. She was from Yew Tee Primary and is still proud of her school. She will never forget the class of 6D’07, or the batch of P6’07. She is currently an idiot in Nanyang Girls High and it is a love-hate relationship. She belongs to 202’09 which she, to be honest, doesn’t feel much for. She is a Theatre Club girl and is more than proud to be one. She especially loves Emo Batch♥, and looks forward to devoting her next 3 years to TCN with much optimism. She does ballet with more than just passion but she can’t do a center split. She is trying her best and is currently aiming for a far-fetched distinction for Grade6. She loves hiphop just as much though she’s pretty new at it. Her favourite sport is swimming and she occasionally plays basketball as a form of stress-relief. She likes to be tan and loves her swimming tan line. The piano, is yet another love-hate relationship. Like most teenagers, her hobbies include MSNing, blogging, and youtubing and facebooking. She loves shopping and doing random stuff like gaying people, jumping over railings, walking in the rain, and having completely irregular sleeping hours. Unlike most teenagers, she thinks that rap music is trash. She also thinks that she is getting old cause she hates the songs the average listens to these days. She can’t explain her love for oldies, country music, ballads, and sentimentals. Nostalgic songs are the best. Her favourite bands are Michael Learns to Rock, The Beatles and Westlife. She loves too many singers to name them all. “Forevers” are bullshit as of now. The night speaks to her the way no one else can. Her favourite thing to do is to curl up with a book on a rainy afternoon in her room, where she feels safest in. Her favourite flower is a black rose, but on the contrary, she likes rainbows and hugs too. She is always torn between two. But she is determined when she sets her mind on something, so she wants the world to shut up and believe in her. Just watch.Tag

Zoom! Photography Camp.
The things at camp I missed most at home is the-Computer (of course) -The shower which I can shower for as long as I want. -Clean enviroment. Well, having girls shouting, " YOU'RE HOGGING THE BATHROOM!!!" outside isn't cool. Even when you take only like, three minutes?! So I didn't wash my hair and use any body soap throughout the whole camp. Only rinse body, and people are already shouting. So today, I showered for more than 30 minutes when I got home. Must bathe until I'm absolutely spotless and ultra-clean. Oohlala...Felt so fresh! One of the worst things at camp is that that Bossy Complain Slanger Queen Vera Lee Hern Hwei slept in the same room me. Always wanting her way in EVERYTHING. She complained about me, Yoke Kay and Yu Ting on the first day when we SMSed Miss Lin in when we're supposed to be taking a nap for the night shoot. As if anyone can sleep. WHOA. LEMME TELL U WAD OK. She was using her handphone too after she complained about us and keep whispering to Pamela (also complained). Vera is such an idiotic moron. There's just so many things about her that I promised to keep secret. Almost all the girls (11 girls altogether) in that room hate Vera. She acts like she's the queen or something. Stubborn, rude, bossy. While we three were still SMSing Miss Lin, we were putting the phone in front of me. The other two one on my left, the other on my right. Hands off. Like SMSing a celebrity liddat. When it vibrated, I would pick it up and check, and the two would lean and read, then we reply together. Stupid right?! Let's start from the beginning... The First Day... Went to give Yoke Kay a lift in the morning..Her haversack contained so much lesser things than mine...Dunno why. Anyway, I'm in the group "olympus" which contained Ryan, Valerie, Yu Shan, Esther (the leader), Yu Ting, Jian Quan, me and Yoke Kay (yay!). The teacher in charge is Uncle John (the expert photographer) and his assistant...Which means minus the teachers scolding..=D For lunch, we had something so called spicy, but for me, it wasn't that spicy enough... People like Valerie, Felecia and Sabina were coughing and sneezing, eyes all watery. Alot of ppl said that it was really spicy, but I don't think so for real. I was gazing around the room full of people complaining and showing that face, some sneezing and coughing, when I caught a boy, Yao Yang(just knew his name yesterday)'s eye. So we were shaking our heads slowly like "hias..." I was the first few to eat finish the whole packet first and when I walked pass him, I said, "Can ta-han or not???" "Cannot lah..." and shaking his head, now in the "cannot" motion. Weird, just now we were shaking our heads at the others and after that he's also those who can't ta-han....lol! Went for night shooting on the first night...I got some really really awesome pics! The scenery there is nice and I took a few pictures of the Esplanade and the Merlion, plus Stamford Raffles and Fullerton Hotel. There's a really really beautiful view which was just mesmerizing and awesome. For night photography, we have to use a tripod or the picture will get blur easily. It's really irritating when some people just won't leave you alone and keep snapping their cams at you. Argh! Sat in front of Derek at the bus on the way back to the Bungalow...Talked abit. Used to be archenemies. Not really all that teasing, but the sarcastic "Derek Yeo" and "Sim Yan Ying" when we cross path at school. Lame rite? Well, actually he's also not too bad lah, after talking to him. So the teasing stopped for both of us...Haha. Took about 20 mins to put contact lense that nite. Luckily I volunteered to go last for that...Sometimes just took less than 5 minutes can already, but sometimes must take until 20 mins as a few things went wrong...Ha..Like the contact lense stuck on the cover. Woke up about 4-5 times in the middle of the night... Can even remember the time as I looked at the watch. Those tt I can rmb are. 2.49pm. 4.13pm. The rest forget already. And the air-con was like SO cold. 21 degrees!!! Everyone was sneezing so much when we woke up. Teacher say cannot change degree...Sigh. The second day... Three places to shoot. Little India, SPCA (my favorite) and Kampong Glam. Little India was quite nice...I love picture taking, so experiencing something new is wonderful. There is a variety of different races costumes there and I took a lot of pics of those. Bad thing is, both my camera's (I mean, school camera but they were lent to me) battery were low. Never charge! Well, initially I was lent the Canon A80 camera, but then the teacher said that I should practise on the new camera (school just purchased) which is the Canon S80 one...Wow, I'm so in love with that camera. So I had to switch to the A80 camera when the S80 camera's battery is totally dead. GOSH, I LOVE SPCA!!! My favorites were the cats...So cute!!!!!!! My best pictures (in my opinion) were taken from SPCA. I mean, look at the cute dogs and cats! No one could resist an "Aw..." I went into the room with lots of cats and shot a lot of beautiful pictures. There was one really beautiful white cat which did a unique pose. That cat seriously LOVES posing for the camera! Able to stay still for a while, then change pose. LOL. Never touch...too bad. Then Yu Ting and I went to the "more dogs" area there...(she asked me if i wanted to go so i said ok) Initially the dogs were so cute, took pictures, but when Yu Ting took a picture of a dog at a corner, it went crazy and wild, and because of that, the rest of the dogs (about 3 /6 dogs) went barking too. Yu Ting practically had to shout for help as we didn't dare to go out...She was hiding behind the shocked me who's shutting my ears. The 6 dogs were in a cage, but we're still scared. LOL. Because the place where we had to enter and exit's side had two dogs in huge cages, one at each side. I know this is pretty embarrassing, but the I'm-gonna-die thing flashed in my mind for a second. Of course, we got out safely. Then it was the boy's turn..Haha. I think they acted brave or something, but somehow, they went in there, and not long later, there were girly high-pitched screams coming out (but it was from the boys). I mean, Yu Ting only shouted for help, but they were SCREAMING in their HIGH-PITCHED voice. When Derek came out, he said something like, "Wah Lau, the dogs inside crazy already...I so scared you know...Scared until my legs wobble ah..." I wasn't THAT SCARED, of course. Daniel and Daryl had another sentence, "Wah...So shuang! We scream for fun!" Which is like, so LAME. I mean, who would believe that hor. Anyway, one word for you, GIRLS are just as good as BOYS, maybe even better. And anyway, ultra girlie girls are so... People who freaks out easily (Sabina, Valerie, Felecia, etc.) sort, or are vain (Tricia, etc.), or talk about their love or so called BOYFRIEND all the time (Batrisyia- I mean, GET A LIFE, will ya?!). Donated $6 to SPCA for buying posters. =D I mean, just look at the cats and dogs! So... Next stop, KAMPONG GLAM. First stopped for tea-break...Wah Lau, two big roti pratas. Cannot eat three le...Too full sia. Have to pass my title of Wonder Woman to someone else..HAHA. Anyway, Wonder Woman doesn't eat alot, does she?? The mosque at Kampong Glam was a great shot. Derek and Yao Yang wanted to compete with me to see who got the best shot (I don't even know that can differentshape three kids pictures...I mean, it's the same mosque, isn't it?!). I was too "kiasu" as they were in the Zoom! Photography Club and it's only my first time doing serious photography... Uncle John mentioned in an indirect way that Derek's better than Yao Yang (didn't show mine, but then when I went back to the bungalow, I thought that I've got quite a great shot of it). The things that I like about Kampong Glam and Little India is that they have many colorful costumes/features and interesting things to take. I tagged along with Derek (lol, like he's my older brother or something) after I finished what I wanted to take. His Lumix camera can zoom in soooo much, and then when we can't see "something" which is on the top of a high building, he zoomed in, so we got what was that. Super ...I dunno what's the object as I forgotten liao... Derek's really into photography (can tell) and most of his pictures are quite good. Sometimes (when I was tagging on) we went to Uncle John to like, learn something. The expert photographer...Hahaz. So some of the last few shots I've got at Kampong Glam were quite nice, cuz I took some pics that Uncle John/Derek took. Anyway, the three of us (uncle john, derek and I) saw a Eurasian woman crying at a corner on the steps when we were about to "shou gong". Derek and I assumed that she broke up with her bf or something. Well, we totally had no experience, so duh? Then we took a few more shots, and then saw that the woman wasn't there anymore. It was funny lor, Derek and I faking a gasp at the same time, then he spoke my mind, "Nan Dao Yao Tiao Lou?!" And then we both faced the tall building. Nothing lah, of course!!! So we were laughing a bit...Haha. Lame ritez?? Then we discussed, like, what color she wearing (that time blue and white), see the newspaper the following day, whatever shit. LOL. OK, I''ll admit that Derek's not bad to talk to as a friend. Had fun tagging along. Bad luck, Jian Quan's S80 (borrowed fm school) spoiled...The lense that part cannot close fully or something. I wasn't really used to seeing him not cheerful and cracking jokes (except when his basketball lost), so it was kind of weird lah, and I was a little worried. I mean, who wouldn't be if they had to face a scolding at home for not protecting the equipments and having to pay for the repair fees. Nite time BBQ nite...played a lot while parents still over there, like pass the message, heart attack, etc. but when they go back, it was torture time. Luckily I rinsed my body b4 the BBQ, or i'd have to queue the long queue again, full of girls squeaking and squealing and argueing. For putting the lenses, of course have to go last... Well, Mr. Isa told the girls room (the one with bossy girl and I and the rest) to sit down and don't move, and he still hasn't take back his command now..HAHA. of course we did move..Brush teeth, next morning of cuz got move la. There's some secrets which I'm not allowed to disclose for in case, but it's not about family things lah. On that night, while everyone else in that room went to shower, except for Jui Teng (already showered), Kar Enn, Yoke Kay and I who just rinsed. Kar Enn, Yoke Kay and I set up a plan to wake up early morning the next day to shower, as Yoke Kay said that she wakes up every hour, so can call us wake up, but in the end didn't. Think she slept well that nite... So called Marvellous plan FAILED at the first step. Third day... Actually the teachers said whatever see sunrise, whatever, but we were like, far too late. It was already 8am, so of cuz the sun rised already. Took a few pictures on nature while going on Changi Board Walk. I mean, the sea is soooo polluted and not nice that it wasn't worth taking, but of course I did... Took photo of some birds and a lizard too! I guess that's all about it, as the rest is just packing, returning to school, home, whatever. Well, camp was great! Get to escape tuition summore...But I think for entertainment P4 leadership camp better...activities? Prefer phototaking. Dreading @#$%^ tuition tomorrow...Holiday cannot have a piece of mind also...Hiaz.. Going to sleep le, gd nite!!! Probably going to edit this... |
