Profile
She is unpredictable, frequent moodswings. Sometimes she’s nice, and sometimes she’s not. Her name is Yan Ying. 90% of the world can’t pronounce it properly, simple as it seems. But no one really cares so they just call her YY. She is not fond of people with the same name as her. She turns 14 on 6th September and she loves her birthday cause it is a sex symbol. She was from Yew Tee Primary and is still proud of her school. She will never forget the class of 6D’07, or the batch of P6’07. She is currently an idiot in Nanyang Girls High and it is a love-hate relationship. She belongs to 202’09 which she, to be honest, doesn’t feel much for. She is a Theatre Club girl and is more than proud to be one. She especially loves Emo Batch♥, and looks forward to devoting her next 3 years to TCN with much optimism. She does ballet with more than just passion but she can’t do a center split. She is trying her best and is currently aiming for a far-fetched distinction for Grade6. She loves hiphop just as much though she’s pretty new at it. Her favourite sport is swimming and she occasionally plays basketball as a form of stress-relief. She likes to be tan and loves her swimming tan line. The piano, is yet another love-hate relationship. Like most teenagers, her hobbies include MSNing, blogging, and youtubing and facebooking. She loves shopping and doing random stuff like gaying people, jumping over railings, walking in the rain, and having completely irregular sleeping hours. Unlike most teenagers, she thinks that rap music is trash. She also thinks that she is getting old cause she hates the songs the average listens to these days. She can’t explain her love for oldies, country music, ballads, and sentimentals. Nostalgic songs are the best. Her favourite bands are Michael Learns to Rock, The Beatles and Westlife. She loves too many singers to name them all. “Forevers” are bullshit as of now. The night speaks to her the way no one else can. Her favourite thing to do is to curl up with a book on a rainy afternoon in her room, where she feels safest in. Her favourite flower is a black rose, but on the contrary, she likes rainbows and hugs too. She is always torn between two. But she is determined when she sets her mind on something, so she wants the world to shut up and believe in her. Just watch.Tag

lusus naturae
Okay, that title is a Latin word/phrase which means 'Freak of Nature'. Just came across it in a English Vocabulary book.Anyway, what's freak of nature? While leaving that for you to think, I'll continue to blog my entry... Btw, wish me luck for the week's 4 major exams!!! I'm terrified. Since there's no examination on Friday, I'll go straight to SATURDAY, 6th MAY 2006. Polling day! Okay, so I didn't get to vote (you aren't suppose to vote until you're 21) and neither did my parents. Yupyup, no opposition come and challenge PAP. So lots and lots of families (probably the whole Singapore) were staying up late to watch the results show...I just love it when the whole Singapore gets alive late night. I was looking out from the window at 12pm and I saw two blocks of buildings (Palm Garden 2D and 2E)....And almost all the living room lights were on. It's like, Chinese New Year or sumting!!! Then I saw 3 TVs (not exactly, but I saw the TV light) from in the living room at 3 different storeys at block 2D, and cuz it's at the same channel, the three TVs changed the color of the light at the same time...Hahas. Okay, so PAP won almost ALL of them. Except for Hougang (winner: WP) and Potong Pasir (winner: SDA)or something. For my parents, they supported Opposition as they think that Singapore should have some Opposition also... You leh?? So it was kind of exciting lah, whenever the results were announced. I slept after the last result (Sembawang is it?), which was at about 1pm. It's no different from Chinese New Year lor!!! Too bad I can't sleep at the end of the show cuz there's my first guitar lesson tmr morning!! Not exactly first, as I've taken guitar lessons b4 la...the short guitar course and SYF training... I'm getting to miss all those SYF training, Mr. Chua's oh-so-clever idea of threatening to bang the whiteboard with the 1m wooden ruler, his reprimands, and the different kind of way the whole band sounds, etc. ...All those are wonderful memories. Really. So I woke up at 9am (early rite?!) today, and went for the lessons at 9.50am. It begins at 10am. The teacher's name is Mr. Zul (short form for Zulwhadevawhadevawhadeva. Nupes, just kidding). It was great today...Haha! Cuz it's 'beginner's class' (i can't go for intermediate as my standards aren't THAT HIGH YET), they started everything from the beginning. A couple of notes teaching (high CDEFG), the P.I.M.A.CH fingers, 1.2.3.4 fingers, etc. Frets, stuff that I know. And we had to play the high E string with our I.M fingers in the rhythm in the book. Damn easy rito? Then the testing of CDEFG. You know, the kind that goes: Teacher: Play me your etc.etc.etc. Students: (play obediently) I was always the first to play everything as I played them in like, a split second. Then the high CDEFGFED in minims...Mr. Zul let us practise the CDEFGFED first, so I played for about 3-4 times like real quickly, then got sick of it. The teacher noted, then commanded (haha, not really la) me to play it again, so of course, I obediently played it pretty quickly. Then he asked me to play the next line, which also consists of the same notes, but different order. So yet again, it was done quickly without errors. Then he pointed for me to play 'Ode to Joy' (consists of all those notes als0). It was the song that Mr. Chua taught us to play in the Pop guitar course laz time...The song that we had to play for the 'performance' at the end of the Pop Guitar Course. And becoz of that, it was doubly extremely easy. A super tiny satisfied smile on my lips after playing that without a single mistake. Then he flipped the pages and asked me to play the lines that he hadn't taught us the notes before, and because I know all the notes on the first 3 fret, it was simple. With a small error la. (UGH!) Then a 1 or 2 more lines without mistakes. And after, he said, "Have you learnt guitar before?" I nodded. "SYF training." I guess he thought that I was a genius/real talent before that question. Then he said, "Now play the C chord or something." Okay, he had won after all. I froze, dunno wad to do. Hadn't got a single clue of chords! So that's when I started to learn chords...C and G7, while the rest are still learning CDEFGFED. I just love learning something different from the others...=D =D =D =D In the end, I was to go home to practise the C and G7 chords, while the rest... CDEFGFED! P.S (gtg now...i've exceeded my time limit...Remind me on my taggie next time to blog about the terrifying piano lesson) |
